Notifications and application

Easy July 14th, 2015

Hi,

I have some complains about technical things of the website and the app. I haven't found the right place in the forum to talk about them so sorry if this isn't the right place.

First of all, I would like to say that I really appreciate the improvement that has been added recently like Noni (the bot) asking to the guest to give us some context before starting a chat or the option to see which topic a guest or a member want to discuss just from the list of General Requests. Those are great advances in my opinion but lately the notifications on the web havebecome really annoying. I'm not that interested in follow "My Progress Path" or see a pop up every time the system is overload by guests (which is completely clear with the bottom bar when it gets from green to red). It makes the user experience very, very annoying.

There isn't any section in the Settings that allows you to disable those notifications or changing a bit the behaviourof the webpage, it seems that anything can be done to avoid them.

About the app, at least in Android, it goes extremelyslow. It's practically impossible to switch between conversations, old chats can't be hide (by sliding them) anymore, and it was a functionality that was there previously and the "new message" notification works really, really weird. It appears when there are new messages but when you get in the chat it doesn't disappear. I think that there must be some conflict with the new features.

I hope this feedback helps the developers to improve the user experience because an irritating web/app can make worse the mood of the users (guest, members and listeners) and it goes against the interest of this site (or that's what I suppose).

There are lots of improvements that need to be done.
