Sharing Circle Help Wanted - A Variety of Roles Available

Sharing Circle is a 24/7 room, which means a lot of effort goes into keeping it running smoothly and we always need more hands on deck! We have a wide variety of roles for you to get involved with, whether you like to visit Sharing Circle a couple of times a month or every day.

On-Spot Host
On-Spot Host is the most flexible Sharing Circle role. Our On-Spot Hosts visit the room, and if there is no host on the schedule for that time they step in to host the session. As we now have 24 Sharing Circles a day there are plenty of opportunities to jump in and help out! This role is open to listeners and members who have attended at least 3 hosted Sharing Circles. There is no application to become an On-Spot Host, but if you have questions please get in touch with @AnnaTess or @Gozzil.

Assigned Host
An assigned host signs up for one or more weekly sessions. Regular hosting will allow you to develop your skills as a host and create a supportive environment for participants. This role is open to listeners and members. Click here to apply.

Outreach Team Member
The Outreach Team aims to connect with members that may benefit from participating in Sharing Circle and encourage them to join a session. They also keep an eye out for people that would make great hosts to help us expand our hosting team. This role is open to all listeners who do not have the newbie badge. Find more details here.

Room Supporter/ Moderator (Newbie Hub or General Support)
Room Supporters and Moderators spend time in the room making sure it is safe, supportive and welcoming. Room Supporters receive training on techniques to keep the room flowing and resolve conflicts, while Moderators continue to use these techniques but also have some extra tools to help keep the rooms safe. Support Team Leader
As a Sharing Circle STL you will be a point of contact for anyone who hosts in your assigned 6 hour time block, and will need to check in to the room regularly to see how things are going. You will also share duties such as training hosts, communicating with moderators and Room Supporters, processing applications and responding to feedback with the other Sharing Circle STLs. The guideline time commitment for STLs is a couple of hours a week moderating your room plus some admin tasks, so although you will oversee a 6 hour daily time block you don't need to be available all the time during your block.
