Discuss with Depression - Mental Wellness with SoftFaith2004!

Hello hello everyone!

Welcome to our very first interview in our new depression support interview series, Discuss with Depression! For our first interview, I have interviewed the lovely SoftFaith2004 to get her insight on our event this month, mental wellness (click HERE to see our masterpost)!


woohoo, let's see what faith has to say about mental wellness! i hope you all enjoy this interview as much as i did!

Question 1: What does mental wellness mean to you?

Answer 1: Mental wellness means to me, to take good care of mental health and have good mental health, taking self care breaks or doing self care, doing what makes you happy, and trying to not overthink/ worry and be positive.💙


Question 2: What is one thing that happened recently that’s made you happy or that you are grateful for?

Answer 2: The one thing I am grateful for recently is that I am alive and here with amazing peeps of cups and some real life. I am glad they care and understand. 💙


Question 3: What is something you do for self-care? Why is self-care important to you?

Answer 3: I Listen to music and play games sometimes, otherwise read stories (especially ghost and detective) and nap, cause taking breaks are good✨

Taking breaks is important to me, as it is a coping method with burnout. It's also a good thing to know more about myself and love my self for who I am and want to be.💙


Question 4: How do you think mental wellness differs from mental health?

Answer 4: More generally, well-being is just feeling good about yourself and your life. Mental Health is made up of our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act.💙


Question 5: How can you create and maintain a healthy balance in your life? Why is balance important for maintaining mental wellness?

Answer 5:Our body needs plenty of rest, exercise and healthy food. It's important to take some time out from a busy day to enjoy activities and unwind by reading or meditating. It can help in balancing mental wellness.

We create a healthy balance in lifestyle by being organised – It's important to keep a clear mind plan in advance, allowing time for your tasks and making room for activities you enjoy.💙




Question 6: What may make it difficult to have good, balanced mental wellness? How might you strengthen your mental wellness to get around these challenges?

Answer 6: It may be difficult because of some things, like over-thinking, negativity, intrusive thoughts, bad habits, etc.

I might strengthen my mental wellness to get around this challenges by listening to calming and positive music, trying to not overthink and staying calm in hard moments. Talking to others also help 💙


Question 7: Do you have any tips or resources for others on how they can maintain healthy mental wellness?

Answer 7: We can try to talk our problems out to friends, family and the people we trust, and to listeners here too. We can try listening to calming music, maintaining healthy habits, taking breaks from time to time so we don't get stressed or burnt-out. We have to eat and drink water so we are physically healthy too as physical health and mental health are linked.
