...See more Hey everyone! Just joined here so I’d thought I’d share what I am struggling with. Me and my wife have had our ups and downs throughout our relationship and we have overcome huge obstacles and have really committed to creating a strong relationship with each other with great success. The main down was me not being comforting enough and sympathetic to her feelings and she became hurt. She moved away with our daughter for a week but came back and I worked to show her everyday and change my behavior. We found our old spark! Along the way I focused all my energy on fixing our relationship that I let my relationship with my daughter slide. My wife told me that our daughter(11) expressed to her that she feels I don’t love her and am always too hard on her and doesn’t want to live here anymore. She is not biologically mine but I have raised her since she was 5 and in my eyes and everyone else’s that’s my little girl. I’ll be the first to say that I am very strict with her and there is always consequences for her actions. I know I need to do better at understanding her feelings more and forgiving instead of just making her do chores and grounding which has ultimately drove a wedge between us. My wife as any mother would I guess took her and left again so that I could work on being a better dad. I’ve already done it once for my wife and I want the chance to show my daughter but it’s so hard when there not here. Actions speak louder then words. I play games on the phone with my daughter and talk to her and FaceTime and all of it so I’m stuck as to what to do. Part of me feels like she won’t want to come back because this is like a “vacation” for her that she doesn’t want to end. It’s hard talking to my wife because she just says that she is having to juggle my feelings and our daughters and our feelings towards each other and it’s wearing her down. Anyway, just thought I’d share

...See more trigger warning sexual talk and other words i can say in a poem that not sure we can say otherwise full of shame and ashamed too but want others to know the truth too even if they turn and run or say we deserved this too the ones we talking about in this are our brothers and a friend who went all the way that day within Christmas break i was 7yr almost 8yr it was not first time they touched me in that way as that was when i was only 3yr but this time it was more nightmare Lost within the nightmare it carry me to places I do not want to be back into the room with them can not run for I am tied down do not know this morning would be this way they use their hands first but then things change so fast can not scream can not move fear take over with the pain not get what I done to deserve this thought brothers were to keep little sister safe not hurt them like this not take from them what is not to be so I lay in the wet bed unable to move every time we shut our eyes see this nightmare again keep asking why why did they take my childhood from me what did I do to make them hurt us so no one cared at all we just a girl not worth much boys are worth so much more they are what dad want to carry on their name girl are only for sex, having kids and taking care of men there duty is to server men some would say that all they good for so guess we learned that lesson younger then most girls put in our place as a young childhood taught what was expected of us we guess but then thrown away like yesterday trash good for nothing used and tossed we unsure what to do with this lasting nightmare as it from long ago but feel like it now they say time heal everything but is that true will this night mare ever go away others have but this one sticking around not sure why this one is maybe it is to go to the grave with us we not sure as feel like it will last forever flooded with the feelings now within the nightmare but to ashamed to let other know this what will they think of us will they turn away from us due to we like dirty trash not sure if they run away screaming from us in the nightmare that what we was told would happen if we told anyone they said all would say it what we was born for due to we only a girl we deserve this it our duty we was told but not sure we believe this anymore by stormie

Cheating (Me)

...See more Me and my wife have been together for just over 3 years now. When we had first gotten together, everything was great and we had very little issues outside of your atypical disagreements. However over this past year, we've began having relationship issues that have sprung up due to my actions. Me and my wife aren't as intimate now as we were in the beginning, and as much as I would love to say that's it's the reason behind my problems, I know it's not and can't ever be. Over the last year or so, I've being talking to numerous women online through various different platforms, have talked and have done more than talked (nothing ever physical, purely through texting). Me and my wife have talked about it together multiple times, and after talking about it, there's usually a few weeks to a few months where there aren't any issues regarding it, I'm not reaching out to women and overall our relationship had begun getting better. Unfortunately not too long after that time period, I find myself falling back into it and it ends up just being an endless loop. I don't want to just leave her, as I feel like that would hurt her more and lead her to think that I don't want to try and mend things and get help for it all. But at the same time I want what's best for her in the end. We've talked about therapy for me, however due to our financial situation, it is far out of reach. Im honestly lost on how to handle the entire situation, I've apologized but I know that doesn't mean much of anything at this point in time. I love her and I want to mend things with here and get myself on a path that isn't going to just harm her. Can anyone offer insight on what I can do or how I should go about the situation to get on a better path?

...See more Hey, guys! I'm new to this kind of things, but I feel like I have no one else to resort to in this matter. I will try to explain and give you the full context. So, I'm a 26-year-old straight male and my girlfriend is also 26 and straight. We met in high-school and have been dating since then, with a slight hiccup of a one-year break-up a couple of years ago. So, basically we've been together for 9 to 10 years, around that. We've had relationship trust issues before, with cases such as her lying about her medical conditions or me lying about still interacting with women I've felt attracted for before. We've moved past beyond that for like 4 or 5 years now and haven't had any kind of trust issues ever since. There was, however, this one time when I had a really close female best friend that she was actually okay with: but one time, my sister only invited my best friend to her birthday party - and not my girlfriend - which made her super mad (which I totally understand) and asked me to never be friends with this best friend again. It cost me a lot, but what I have with my girlfriend is really precious and I felt she was kind of humilliated in this scenario, so I complied. Fast forward to today, I was talking to her and ocasionally dropped that I was grabbing a cup of coffee with this female friend of mine later that day. This person is a friend of mine, with whom I had collaborated in a youth politics project a couple of years ago. I hadn't talked to her for 2 years or so, but we randomly bumped with each other a couple of months and since then she asked me if I wanted to grab a cup of coffee with her to catch up. I know this may seem odd, but just to be sure I wasn't being misled or giving the wrong signals, I checked on her socials and she was basically "married" for already 5 or 6 years: she had a fiancé. But still, just to make sure, I went to this coffee meet-up with another friend, to make sure I was perceiving that as a normal, friends hook-up. We only did this like 2 or 3 times the past 8 months, it's always a quick "check-up" and I make sure it never goes beyond this kind of activities, so as to not cross any socially-accepted (and even heteronormative) boundaries. I love my girlfriend more than anything and no thought of being with someone else has ever crossed my mind. So, back again to today, as soons as I told my girlfriend about this (via text), her posture totally changed. Even though I already had told her about this friend of mine, and even about the coffee meet-ups, this time she behaved in a totally different way. She started making inquisitory questions and even assumed she had never heard about her, even dropping a: "Oh, I'm sure I'd remember you talking about having a cup of coffee with a woman". I felt disrespected and even untrusted. I felt she didn't trust me and that she was pointing I was hiding something from her - even though I was totally open about it! So the argument didn't start right away, but she was giving me this short, skeptical responses, and, for about 2 days, we didn't even speak with each other. Also, it doesn't matter much, in my opinion, but I ended up not meeting with this female friend of mine, but only because some late work stuff of hers made it impossible for us to meet up. Anyways, two days passed and I was waiting for any text or call from hers saying she had overreacted, to be honest. But no, her text was kind of shifting the blame, saying it was my fault that I didn't tranquilize her about this. Which I found very odd, because I had explained her everything there was to explain. Then, she told me her reaction was totally normal, which was to find it weird that I was meetin up with a person that, until 8 months ago, wasn't even a close friend. I said I understood that concern, but that it also felt random for me, but that this kind of meet-ups always felt friendly and normal to me. Once again, I treid to never cross any "coffee meet-up" boundaries. Later on, my girlfriend further explained these feeling of her, sayint that I was totally in the wrong, because "coffee meet-ups with a member of the opposite gender is totally wrong" and that I had "crossed the relationship boundaries", to my surprise. I was always open with her, sincere and honest, to keep this trust in this relationship up high. But I feel like this untrustful behavior of her is not justified and actually sadly surprinsing from her, since we've always been open - minimally progressive, in other terms - to have friends from the opposite gender. She says I am totally wrong and that I hurt her feelings, even though I not only was always honest with her, but I also feel I haven't crossed any reasonable boundaries... Basically, even when looking to what has happened before, I feel like I can't have any female friends - at least, not in a "group-of-friends-meet-up context". And since I already had to give up a friendship before, I stand even more hurt by this stance of hers... So, please, help me out here, I don't know what to do...
