7CupsCommunity Account: FAQ
Hi, everyone!
Some of you may have seen the @7CupsCommunity Account around the site. The community management staff launched this account to address questions and concerns that we may not individually be able to get to. The goal behind this was to streamline communication with the broad community by providing one aligned admin account. Now that this account has gained traction, I'd like to answer some common questions so we can continue to serve your needs:
What does the Community Account do?
Answer questions in the forums, chatrooms, and direct messages
Forward bug reports to the developer team
Liaisons between the community and Admin Team to relay feedback
What does the Community Account not do?
Handle Reports
Investigate accounts (including rejecting and restoring)
Provide Chat or Peer Support
What is the difference between the Community Account and the Community Email? The Community Account answers basic questions regarding the site and provides resources and helps guide new users. The Community Email (community@7cups) assists with resolving issues (account queries, wrong age groups, safety concerns, etc.).
Who runs this account? The Admin Team. We do not disclose which individual is behind the account at any given time, as this account is not a single identity but a group effort to inform and support the broad community.
Can I ask the Community Account to defuse a situation in a chatroom? We ask that you first fill out the emergency form (members) or the listener rooms form. Our Community Moderators are on shift 24/7.
What’s the difference between Community Moderators and 7CupsCommunity? Learn all about the role of the Community Moderator here.
Does 7CupsCommunity show up in chatrooms? Occasionally you’ll see this account doing check-ins or offering backup, but in general, correspondence is kept to forums and PMs.
I have PMed the account. When can I expect to hear back? Within 24-72 hours, 72 at the most.
