Giving Feedback in Forums
Hello everyone!
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to share some tips on how feedback for our site and community can be presented in kind, compassionate and constructive ways. All of these combined, can contribute towards building up our community and uplifting our efforts.
As everything else, 7 Cups has strengths and areas for improvement. We as admins acknowledge and understand that the imperfections in the form of technical issues can be frustrating to our community members and listeners. Though it would be wonderful to have quick fixes, realistically, things don’t always pan out as we expect them to because the fixes may not always be straightforward and simple, sometimes it takes a bit longer for the team to deliver solutions.
The following are things to avoid in forums during the feedback giving process:
1. Placing focus on the problem alone
2. Tagging leaders with the expectation to receive a quick response
3. Using a condescending tone
4. Engaging in arguments
5. Generalization
6. Being disrespectful
(If any of the above mentioned behaviors repeat, the user will be given behavior points.)
Please review our forum guidelines here!
Feedback for 7 Cups can be shared here!
In your approach towards sharing feedback, please-
1. Be kind
2. Be encouraging
3. Be solution oriented
4. Be compassionate
5. Be respectful
6. Share resources
7. Be objective
8. Be clear
9. Recognize strengths!
10. Focus on outcomes
11. Proofread before posting
As the saying goes, “We rise by lifting others” Please be mindful of all reminders outlined in this post, in all interactions and participation in forums.
We trust and humbly request everyone to continue their efforts with keeping forums safe and welcoming for the community.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Tazzie!
@Tazzie
Hi Tazzie, thank you for taking time and energy to put these all together.
Just a quick suggestion, I think it may be helpful if you include a link for the Feedback Page so that those who are interested in providing feedbacks can easily locate where to post theirs; otherwise, the feedback might end up being on a wrong page and thus fails to get to the admin responsible for it.
Thank you in advance for considering this suggestion!
@Tazzie We have been told that if we tag @7cupscommunity we can expect a response within 48 hours. In many cases there are tags that have gone months without a response. Is there an update as to what we are supposed to do?
@AffyAvo
Agreed with Affy !
@Tazzie , thankyou for creating this thread , reminder on how to give feedbacks is necessary ! ❤
However , Is it okay to continue to tag the community account then ?
Also to clear out needs reply filter threads, do you think it's better to tag a leader who would know how to respond some general or specific site query in a much more efficient way than to keep the thread in queue or respond with half information? ^^
Or in what cases would it be okay to tag leaders ?
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Hello! To clarify, we only request for leaders to be given time to respond as they are volunteers too and many times, get tagged in multiple threads. If it's urgent, please feel free to reach out to them in private messages.
@Tazzie
Sounds fair, thankyou ! 😊
@AffyAvo
There will be an update about the Community Account soon about it answering forum posts and questions soon.

@Asherwolfice Thanks. It's been frustrating I feel like there has been a denial about the lack of responses.
@AffyAvo
We are right here now, to answer all the amazing pings that we get now.
Thank you x
