Mindful of Gratitude
Have you ever been surprised by how you behave in a challenging situation? Have you ever felt ashamed that you did not feel grateful for all you do have while others have much less than you have and still make the best out of the day?
To be mindful is to be aware of the stream of thoughts in our heads recognizing we are human and sometimes we become angry, jealous and frustrated. We are not perfect and that’s okay. However, we can learn to not let negative emotions and thoughts ruin our days.
Counting your blessings even if it is just for the air you breathe can help you cope with challenging days to maintain perspective, find peace, hope and resilience.
Think of something for which you are truly thankful and remind yourself of all the good things in your life even if it is only the food you eat or something as basic as your family, your pet, or your health.
