Is it me or…
so.. my 36yo stepdaughter (whom I did not raise and we rarely saw and rarely see now) a few months ago got s new number and said don’t give out that she will give to who she wants. Well she has called once in few mths I’m always kind as then I said to my husband tell her hi! I could hear her pause as she reluctantly said hi. Well.. Xmas in a group text with her grandma and dad she said merry Xmas dad grandma and included my name. WHAT is going on here? Anybody?

It seems that you feel left out and I can see that this might hurt, you're still the stepmother but you mentioned also that you rarely saw each other. Would you like to create closer bonds with her?
