Withholding emotional support on purpose

Feel like my very recent ex was withholding emotional support on purpose. Even after requesting it or being vulnerable. Hard not to feel like it’s my fault or something. Find myself internalizing this. Anyone else have experience with this? It’s maddening- which might be why he does this- to upset me? Ugh.

@modestSky6809 Hi! I hope this message finds you well. I'm sorry to hear that your ex treated you this way, but it does sound like he may have been withholding it from you to upset you. I could be wrong, but it sounds like you know him pretty well. I am glad to hear that he is your ex though! You deserve so much better. Being vulnerable is part of being in a relationship and you deserve to have that support from your partner. You will find much, much better! Wishing you the best of luck!!
