Need to talk to someone?

More Filters

It can sometimes be difficult to find support from family members, friends, or like minded people. While you might have a best friend or a support system and network such as groups on social media, you might want to seek support without any social interaction.

Our listeners provide emotional support through active listening. Active listening helps process your emotional distress. The following page can be filtered to seek listeners who provide long-term help and support. You can also browse listeners according to your preferred language as well as for different topics amongst other filters.

7 Cups is a chat site/app that has different options to find a good listener. You can meet new people and text chat with other individuals going through tough times - you are not alone! Everyone goes through a hard time at some point in their lives and we are here for you. Whether you are facing relationship problems, panic attacks, struggling with substance abuse, loneliness, depression, anxiety, or any other mental health issue, our site/app is a safe space based on confidential, anonymous support.

A good idea is to consider what form of support you would like in the first place - we have plenty of options to explore and one of the best ways is to give them a try to find out what works for you. We understand that different people have different needs and preferences. All these support services are appropriate for different situations.

This page can help you seek a trained active listener to talk to through 1-on-1 conversations. These listeners come from different walks of life and all are ready to offer a compassionate listening ear to people who would like to talk to someone else. You can select their username to view their detailed profile page with their shared bio and other information such as whether they have lived experience of mental health conditions or topics, their reviews, as well as their training and other badges. While our listeners do not provide direct advice, their support can help you vent your feelings and concerns in a safe space and you can work together to figure out healthy coping tools.

Listener conversations can vary in duration according to your listener's and your personal availability. Some listeners have the option to schedule chats with them in advance. You can always browse for listeners and leave them a message so that they can get back to you with their availability.

There are several other ways you can find someone to talk to at 7 Cups. These include the group chats and subcommunities. We are glad you are taking the first step towards support!

Our group chat rooms are online chat rooms that serve as different support groups where you can send text messages 24/7. We are a global community with people from all over the world. Some chat rooms include the Sharing Circle room, which is a non-judgemental safe space based on the traditions of AA and similar support groups. This space can prove helpful if you need a group of people to talk to who can listen and get to know you over a long time. Sharing your feelings and experiences as well as listening to those of others can help feel supported. You can expand your support network and make online supportive friends and connections!

On the other hand, if you would like to interact with people and talk to someone over forums, we have dedicated subcommunities for over 45+ topics covering a wide range of mental illness support topics through various sub-forums. Our subcommunities provide support, awareness, events, as well as opportunities to participate in light-hearted icebreakers.

Apart from the above mentioned mental health services at 7 Cups, we have affordable therapy options allowing you to seek online therapy for mental health problems with an online therapist, licensed psychologist, and other mental health professionals. This support is affordable as compared to other online and offline services or other options like support through insurance companies. Therapists are also available to talk to throughout the week on working days.

While our community can help support you after you have lost someone else to suicide, 7 Cups is not to be used in the state of active/passive suicidal thoughts - for such cases, please visit helpful resources such as the Samaritans or National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. For a complete list of helpful resources, click here.

If you would like to gain further insight and helpful information about different mental health topics, you can visit our Community Questions and Answers pages, or read our Expert Mental Health News and Advice articles. Other main features you can explore include our self-help guides and growth paths based on treatment protocols available for free!

The bottom line is, you are never alone - 7 Cups is a community aiming to provide compassion on a global scale. There are various ways to talk to someone at 7 Cups. These include 1-on-1 conversations based on active listening and support through trained listeners, group chats with support discussions and Sharing Circles, and the subcommunity forums. Other features that you may find helpful include the growth paths, community questions and answers, as well as expert advice sections.

*Not accepting new members* Welcome to my profile! ✨A little about my crazy journey ✨ I joined 7 Cups at the end of 2015 as a listener to help others struggling to find their purpose in our crazy world. However, 7 Cups became much more than just helping out amazing members. I decided to dedicate myself to helping listeners, as well. Since 2016 (on and off for breaks), I joined many leadership roles and projects. Currently, I am a Peer Supporter, Quality Mentor (Teens and Adults), Chatroom Mentor (Teens and Adults), Teen Transitioning Mentor and Mentor Leader, Chat Supporter, and a part of the AL4 Team. I am an Adult-Teen Listener which means I can support both teens and adults! I am also a proud holder of the 2017 PB Award which means that I showed that I was a huge believer in the 7 Cups mission. ✨ A little about me ✨ I am 21 years old and currently reside in the sunny state of Florida! A fun fact about me is I love cats and currently have two cats named Lincoln and Franklin as well as a poodle named Eleanor. I am a huge advocate for mental health as I personally have had my own struggles with Anxiety and Depression. I also have personal experience with Chronic Pain, Grief and Self-Harm.   I believe everything happens for a reason and that these battles we fight only make us stronger. ✨ Topics I can best help with ✨ I try to help with most topics but due to personal experiences, I can best help with Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bullying, Chronic Pain, Depression, Grief, Loneliness and Self-Harm related chats. ✨ Topics I do not take ✨ I do not take any chats related to sexual manners or relationship chats. ✨My Availability ✨ I am in the EST timezone and I am usually the most active around 3PM-8PM EST. I do work full time so my responses may be delayed but will reply as soon as I can! ✨ Resources ✨ Crisis Resources [https://help.7cups.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026238093-Crisis] Live Through This [https://livethroughthis.org] Project Semicolon [https://projectsemicolon.com] Runaway Hotline [https://www.1800runaway.org] ✨ Quotes that inspire me ✨ "Everybody wants happiness. No one wants pain. But you can't make a rainbow without a little rain. "Even the darkest nights will end, and the sun will rise again." "When "i" is replaced with "we" even illness becomes wellness." "My purpose is greater than my pain." "Just ride the wave." "Little by little, day by day, what is meant for you will find its way." ✨Tribute ✨ My new journey on here is in Amelia's honor. Rest in Peace, Amelia 💗 Gone but never forgotten.

Hi there and welcome, 😀 I’m Rosie, a verified listener and I’ve been here on 7 Cups for four years. As I’ve gone through some difficult times myself, I know just how good it is to have someone you can talk to.  As I’m passionate about mental health I’m here to listen and be there for you. Please be reassured I'm non judgemental and want to help make you feel supported and heard. LGBTQ+ friendly 🌈  If I’m not online then please feel free to leave me a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. My only ask is that you please share a little about what it is you’d like to chat about in your message, thank you.     PLEASE NOTE:  I’m here to listen and chat…NO sex chat.  I do accept casual chats. I'm not comfortable with sexual health related topics. As I follow the community guidelines, I do expect you to as well. If you need immediate support, please browse for a listener who is online. Thanks Rosie 🌹 Graduate from the; Quality Listening Program Leadership Development Programme Inner Development Goals Course 🌹 7 Things about me; I’m an animal lover, especially dogs and have two myself  I love dark chocolate I prefer baking to cooking  I’m a proud LGBT+ ally I work and am also a pt carer for my lovely mum who’s in her 80s I’m a coffee lover and could just drink one now  I like to laugh…so do it as much as I can 😀 ******* 🌹 One of my favourite quotes; When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hold on. 🌹 A few things I remind myself of; ‘Staying positive doesn’t mean you have to be happy all the time. If you can’t help then at least be kind’. ‘To get a rainbow you have to first deal with the rain’ 🌈 ******* 🌹 When away from 7 Cups I find the following helpful to relax;  Reading, swimming, walking my dogs or sitting out in the garden with a nice cuppa. Hi, I’m here to listen and support you. I've been through my own ups and downs, so I know how it feels when life gets heavy, and sometimes all you need is someone who truly listens. I believe in the power of resilience and finding the little sparks that keep us going, even when it feels like the world is too loud. I love deep conversations, the kind that make you feel heard and seen. Here to remind you that your feelings are valid, your journey is unique, and there’s always hope—even if it's just a tiny flicker. "I think it's brave. I think it's brave that you get up in the morning when your heart aches and life is messy and you do not feel like being soft for the world. I think it is brave that you continue to love and express and open your soul, despite the way you were treated in the past. I think it is brave that you keep going, that you keep believing in something more, something bigger, even when you may not know what you are hoping for. I think it is brave that you fight, I think it is brave that you choose, every single day, to move forward- because that is what makes you strong. That is what makes you strong." (On a small break)
