"All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am."
Hi, I'm Willow. I am a 16-year-old female with autism. I use she/her pronouns.
Life is complicated, I get it. I'm right there with you on that one. I used to feel so alone in life until I realized that even though you can't see it, there are other people there who are willing to listen. We all go through things in life, and it helps so much to be able to talk to someone about it. Here's a bit of my story.
I'm Willow. I've experienced many different kinds of trauma in my life. I grew up with overbearing parents who only cared about how well I did in school. I never felt heard by anyone. In addition, in January of 2025, I lost my best friend to cancer. It absolutely crushed me. From all of these experiences, I was diagnosed with several mental health conditions, including PTSD, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, but I made it out alive. Most days are a struggle- healing isn't easy. I'm not going to sugarcoat that for you. And reaching out for help isn't easy either, so I applaud you today for taking that step toward getting better. However, if you are suicidal at all, I am going to ask you now to call your local emergency services or refer to 7cups.com/crisis. It's not easy making that call; believe me, I know, but they are there to support you in ways that I am not trained to. I hope you get the support you need. My arms are always open to anyone who isn't in crisis, and I will listen with attentive ears.
You aren't alone.
