My name is Amy, Iβm 32, living in the southeastern US, and Iβm actively trying to recover from CPTSD due to childhood trauma, anorexia, self-harm, and substance abuse.
To be completely honest, Iβm a very messy work in progress. Thankfully, Iβm starting to become more okay with that. Itβs a long and exhausting journey, but I am taking small steps towards healing every day and Iβm learning to be my authentic self. With that said,
l want you all to know that no matter who you are, what youβre going through, or how you feel about yourself - I will accept you unconditionally. If you ever see me around the forums or posting on the feed, please say hi! Even though Iβm not an official listener - yet - please feel free to talk to me. I love being able to help put a smile on someoneβs face.

what else?
Well, I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, writing and reading poetry, hand lettering, creating folded book art, gazing at natureβs beauty and taking photographs of the world around me, adding to my collection of dice, finding new quotes that resonate with me, practicing a myriad of new age wellness routines, and cuddling my stuffed animals (and no - I'm not ashamed to admit that at all!).
Iβm also incredibly passionate about psychology and ending the widespread stigma that plagues individuals suffering from mental illness.
helping others heal is my life goal.

Ultimately, I want to use my voice to create a revolution. I want to help put an end to child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence by speaking up and sharing my own experiences. I hope that by speaking my truth, other survivors will become empowered to break their silence and share their own personal stories of survival and resilience. My hope is that by uniting together, by standing tall in the face of adversity and by talking about difficult things that matter, we will be the trailblazers that set the world in a positive direction. I want to be one of the first to effect universal and long-lasting positive change.
