I'm a retired lieutenant with 4 deployments behind me and 12 years of service. My spouse is also a marine, I am out due to combat related injury and PTSD due to being held by the enemy for 48 hours and interrogated. A month later I was hit by sniper fire and lost half my left lung and 3/4 of my stomach. I was also hit in my right knee and lost my leg. After coming home I was also diagnosed with Gulf war syndrome/fibromyalgia as well.
I'm not one to just sit on my butt and complain so I continued my education, Originally I graduated high school at 14, had my first bachelors by 17 and was in the marines at 18, now I have 12 associates degrees, 8 bachelors, 6 Masters 1 PhD and I'm working on the second PhD, I intend to continue studying the rest of my life if possible, I enjoy learning so much.
