I am easy going, more of a listener than a talker. Experienced in various jobs and an active musician. I like to read, cook and have lots of quiet time.

...See more Day 7 of 7 cups active listener, samSympa3 After the first day of on-boarding, I spend 5 days procrastinating (including the weekend), then I accepted a chat but the system said it had gone to another listener. I did get my first chat shortly afterwards. It was nervy, the in-line tips were surprisingly helpful, I used the Listener Support Group, and I had a good chat. Felt pretty good at the end, the Member thanked me but didn't leave a review. So, today I picked up another call. Nothing, the Member disconnected after 7 minutes. I asked if it was his first time, I said I'm a trained active listener, I can't give specific advice. Nothing. The subject was sexual health, not my first choice of subject but I figured if everyone thinks like that then the member won't get any support, it's a difficult subject. I still feel like I've done something, I hope Member can see that people are willing to listen and it's worth trying again.
