...See more Hi I am a mom of a 22 year old. I love her so much but I am afraid. she has started drinking. she only does a certain amount, but now does it every day. and she really doesn't want to talk with me about it. she does tell me that in the evening when she drinks, that is her peaceful and happy time, and it helps her to sleep. she does have anxiety, panic attacks and some depression. I am almost sure she drinks to mask sadness or anxiety. she doesn't feel good about herself alot, and according to her, this helps her. but lately it's all she thinks about. the rest of the day she is somewhat normal, but it hoovers over both of us I think, and it has me very depressed. I barely function anymore. It is very hard to not show my sadness because I know I have to try to help and support her. But she has got to stop this and I am paralyzed as to how to help her. I have nobody to help me and I just want to cry all the time, it's hard to hold it all in, but I am so far. Can anyone please help me...I am soooo alone thnx

...See more I have a daughter, she is 22. she has had anxiety and panic disorder and some depression. she smokes weed to help that. I don't love that but it helps her feel normal. But lately she has also started drinking and smoking cigarettes. she only drinks right before bedtime, she says it helps her go to sleep. She drinks the same amount everynight. She started smoking cigarettes because she has been addicted to nicotine for a while 1st she vaped, she stopped that because she got sick, so she changed to chewing nicotine gum, and now cigarettes. she has an addictive personality. but I am petrified that this will get worse. like she will want more when a few drinks don't work anymore. and she is depressed, but I think mainly because she needs a job and her anxiety and panic makes it really hard to find a job she can do successfully. I can't do anything about the drinking because she is 22 and an adult. she is gonna do what she wants to do. I don't know what to do to lift her spirit and bring her out of this saddness and get her to not drink and to stop smoking... I feel lost and nausous and cry alot now....... she only wants to feel normal... She is a sweet loving young woman, but this changes her a bit, mainly out of saddness and frustration I think. Any words of encouragement or advice will be appreciated.

...See more my daughter has stopped smoking marijuana. suffereing major withdrawals. read garbage on the internet, and now thinks she is a terrible person because everything she does is a sin according to what this person posted. says the bible said it was so. everything from being happy, loving anyone in her life, eating, shaving, that if she does all that stuff she is a sinner and God will send her to hell. That she can not live her life, that happiness is a sin. she won't listen to any of us....anyone experience this???
