Bio
Hi everyone!
I'm a recent graduate with a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Biology living in Massachusetts. I have 3+ years of experience working in the mental health field, and many more in advocacy and support. I currently assist nurses and providers in inpatient psych units (including in geriatric psychiatry, acute psychiatric settings, and in intake departments/assessment units), working with individuals to improve their physical and mental health through assisting with activities of daily living and assisting in procedures (taking vital signs, collecting specimens). I have experience discussing problems with clients/patients, assessing patients, and conducting various activity/therapeutic groups that engage and provide coping mechanisms with people in all stages of life, and who come from a variety of backgrounds.
****I AM UNABLE TO PROVIDE CLINICAL SERVICES OR THERAPIES BASED OFF MY PRIOR EXPERIENCES THROUGH 7CUPS*** I'm here to listen and help as best as I can :)
I hope to attend medical school someday to become a physician (open to whatever specialty), and eventually get more involved in incorporating mental health in every aspect of care. This includes primary care, psychiatry, specialty care, and advocacy in the community.
I hope that through my time with 7 Cups, I will be able to help people from all backgrounds feel supported and heard and connect them to resources that are helpful for their overall health journeys.
Be well!
