...See more Here's about my Thiruvananthapuram trip 😊 I had a desire to visit Thiruvananthapuram (TVM) City and had it on my to-do list for this year. Two days ago when i accidentally checked the was tickets available on the train for Coimbatore to TVM. I immediately pounced on it and booked my tickets. My desire was to visit the city's famous Padmanaba swamy temple, go to the museums nearby and also visit the beach. As luck would have it everything went as per plan 🙂  Initially i had tough time finding a hotel room because the city was hosting a film festival. So the hotel rooms were all filled by film students and film buffs. I somehow managed to get a room, got ready and went down for breakfast. I was surprised by the option that i had. The had Puttu with channa gravy. It was my favourite and i relished that yummy dish.  I did have to meet a few customers and I managed to do that quickly. Enroute i managed to make friends with an auto driver who was very kind to me. After that i went to the temple. It was very huge and i was amazed by its grand setup. There was a lot of people and i had to wait for almost an hour to see the deity. It was truly a marvelous sight and enjoyed the sight. As i got out i also got in queue to have the lunch offered at the temple. The rice used in Kerala is different, that's big and red in colour. It has a delicious taste. I enjoyed the lunch and got back to my room. I was tired so i took a quick nap. After an hour i went to the wax museum, Art gallery, royal palace tour and finished the sightseeing with a visit to the beach for sunset 😊 As i write this great days experience I'm really glad i took a day off for myself and had fun 😀 I also managed to finish a half marathon recently 😄 it was a challenging one but i managed to finish it. Good learning experience on grit, patience and pers everance

My Journey into music 🎶

...See more Dear music lover, I hope that you too feel connected to music. I'm a musician myself. You'll be surprised to hear the story of why I became a musician.  I have been fascinated by the song oru murai vandhu parthaya in manichitrathazh, in Malayalam language that released 3 decades ago. Its very mesmerizing the lyrics and music. When I was a child my parents and I were going thru the countryside of tamilnadu and my father was listening to flute music. Upon recognition of the song that was playing I told my mother isn't this the same tune from that manichitrathazh song. She said yes. The song was struck in my mind.  I researched and found that its kundalavarali ragam. I had the fascination to learn to play flute but never got the motivation. And then life moved on even though the fascination of flute music was struck to the back of my mind.  5 years ago, i had a good friend called Sanjay who unfortunately passed away in an accident. Our friends group were really shocked. We had a rememberance meeting for him and during that someone said that we shouldn't have an unfulfilled desire. If we desire something we should fulfill it at the earliest.  That was an eye opener for me and I went and joined music class the very next day. I've been playing flute for the last 5 years now 🙏 I hope to play kundalavarali ragam very soon.

...See more Hello 🤗  Did you do anything special this year? I did few exciting activities.  Bread, butter and jam is something we all love. It is an easy snack to make. Most often we have the mixed fruit jam that we get in the stores. Recently when i was watching a TV show, i got to see the orange fruit jam (otherwise called marmalade). It looked very yummy and i was very curious.  During the last few weeks of summer there were oranges in the market. Tangy ones. I got home 2 kgs of oranges, extracted the juice and then kept in the stove. After adding sugar it was a long wait for the water to dry up and see the form of Jam 🤯. I was scared that my mother will scream at me for exhausting the gas cylinder 😅 after half an hour the jam was condensed. I stored it in a jar.  My parents enjoyed the orange marmalade very much. It was a good experience in experimenting with a new dish. As i write this to you I can still feel the tangy and yummy taste of orange in my lips. 😊 I love the jackfruit jam that is popular in Kerala. I love it very much. The taste of jackfruit is so delicious. I can't control my temptation when it comes to jackfruit 🤩 but it's a dangerous fruit 😜 at times it causes issues when consumed a lot.  Do you like fruits? Is there any special memory you have regarding fruits? Do share :) Sending you a lot of happiness 😊 Happy new year 🎊  M
