I live on 10 acres alone. I went so crazy just before 30 that I became unable to maintain sustainable work. Since then, I've found it near impossible to have any self-respect. Persistent and terrible family stresses perpetually make me feel worse. Then I found a 12 Step program that completely changed my way of thinking and my quality of life. Now I love my life most days..
