Stepping back some from 7Cups for now for personal health/well-being reasons.

Hi! I'm glad to be here with people that help me not feel alone. Life can involve a variety of challenges and I feel that connection with others can help one to endure those challenges. I'm happy to be here for others as well.

Songs that help soothe me:

'Keep Holding On' by Avril Lavigne and Lukas Gottwald

'Broken' by Lifehouse

'I Lived' by OneRepublic

'You Got Me' by Gavin DeGraw

'Invisible' by Hunter Hayes

'Love Too Much' by Hunter Hayes

'Flashlight' by Jessie J

Physical symp./manifestations...depression related or something else

...See more Hi, So I know that depression can involve physical symptoms/manifestations. But does anyone know if there is some sort of 'line drawn' that separates whether certain symptoms/frequency of symptoms are likely attributed to depression (in my case, Major Depressive Disorder) vs. something else is going on? As in, for example, if someone was having certain symptoms X number of times on X number of days/week, it would be crossing the 'line' of them being attributed or caused by depression. I'm sorry if that was confusing. I'm just still trying to learn about my symptoms/manifestations and my different illnesses. Thanks πŸ™‚

...See more Hello everyone πŸ™‚ I thought I would introduce/provide a space for individuals, If they'd like, to journal about their experience (or really whatever they'd like to express in regard to their own individual experience with Attachment Difficulty, etc.). Please know that nobody is required to share or journal if they choose not to. When commenting on the posts of others', please do not express judgment, criticism, or anything that does not show 'support'. Thank you!

...See more I have a multitude of mental illnesses, one of which is Major Depressive Disorder. Lately I'm struggling especially with, for example, feeling physically sick and 1)Not knowing the 'for sure' source of it and 2)Getting tired of experiencing it...sometimes if kicks in on a daily basis. Does anyone else resonate with this?
Enduring endings of relationships when I have an Attachment Wound/Injury

...See more Given my attachment wound/injury, I have made it through (and am continuing to need to endure) multiple endings of therapeutic/mental health support relationships lately. Attachment issues/wounds/injuries are no joke. For me, even preparing for that ending to happen (when I even know when it is going to happen) can be very emotionally painful...but I'm doing it. I was abandoned by my mom when I was in high school (over a decade ago) and last Saturday was the 2 year anniversary of her death. I made it through that as well. The pain of the wound is still there but I'm being strong. I was chatting with the therapist (described below) and she explained how she and other people in my life like her are going to be (and are) part of a chain in my mental health journey. I may be paraphrasing what she said somewhat but the idea is of her and others being links in a chain. Another ending of a therapeutic relationship is coming up tomorrow so please wish me luck if you don't mind. Thanks.

...See more Hello! I'm not sure if I'm technically a 'new subscriber' or not but, when I was, I don't think I introduced myself. I'm MunchieGoosie! I like the concept of mindfulness even though it can feel challenging at times. I appreciate that it is incorporated into DBT, a program of which I am currently a part of. One of my favorite ways of exercising mindfulness is going on walks/into nature and being mindful of the details in nature. πŸžπŸ’§πŸŒ²πŸŒΌπŸŒ»πŸŒΈπŸŒΊπŸŒ»πŸŒ·πŸ₯€πŸŒΉπŸžοΈπŸŒ„πŸ¦πŸ₯¬πŸƒπŸπŸ‚ I also enjoy photographing nature using my phone as well. I would share some pics I've taken if I could figure out how to do it LOL. Thank you for this forum!
