Hi! I’m Maddie and I will turn 16 on January 29th. I was adopted when I was 4 years old. I’m also a teen parent. 

My family:

I live with my Mom, Dad, and my sister, Jacey, who is 13 years old. I have a daughter, Anna who is 3 months old. I have 4 cats: Bandit, Bear, Tippy, and Babu Frik who was named after a Star Wars character. 

My Interests:

I am Interested in many different things. I love art and bracelet making. I also play soccer as a middle defender. I love all animals but mainly Horses. I LOVE Horses. I enjoy watching movies with my family and friends.

In February of last year (2023) I found out I was pregnant, I had just turned 15. Of course I never meant to get pregnant. I went to my best friend, Xavier first and he was very supportive. I then went to my boyfriend and he was definitely as freaked out as I was at the time. He has been very supportive the whole time. I then went to my parents and told them and I was very glad that they didn’t freak out. I know they were disappointed but they were never mad. My whole family and ALL of my friends have been so supportive and helpful. 

On October 12 2023, I had my daughter Anna at the hospital. (No home delivery! No thank you!) My boyfriend wanted to name her Ivy after his sister who sadly passed away at the age of 4, 2 years ago. So we decided that we would name her Ivy and her middle name would be Stella. Ivy Stella Hart just didn’t sound right so we decided to think of a different name. My friend Xavier suggested the name Anna and said that Ivy should be her middle name. Anna Ivy Hart sounded good together so we named her Anna. 

As a teen mom I get asked A LOT of questions like: What happened to the dad? Or, Why did you get pregnant? And, Why didn’t you put your kid up for adoption? I often get asked, How did you get pregnant if you were using birth control? So I’m just going to Answer a few questions.

Well for the first question people ask me: What happened to the dad? Well Anna’s dad, Zach, didn’t go anywhere, he is very much present and is a lot of help and helps me take care of Anna. The 2nd question I get asked a lot would be: Why did you get pregnant? Well of course I never got meant to get pregnant, it was an accident. Me and Zach were not as careful as we thought we were. For question #3: Why didn’t you put your kid up for adoption? There are multiple reasons why I didn’t put Anna up for adoption but the main reason was because as someone who was in multiple foster homes I know how hard it is to go from one foster home to another. For the very last question: How did you get pregnant if you were using birth control? My answer for this question is that the birth control I used was just straight up BAD! I also tell people for this question is that you can still get pregnant EVEN if you are using birth control, which sucks. 

I am a very fun loving person and I am very outgoing. I LOVE talking to people and just chatting with people for fun. I LOVE ALL animals but my favorite animal would be Horses and my favorite color is baby blue.
