Bio
Lets see, I just turned 50 years old. I am a mom with two adult children and a wonderfully supportive husband. I have a business knitting and crocheting on commission. My ever present problem are two chronic illnesses that dog me. I learned some very bad habits in dealing with my anxiety... panic first ask questions later. Or ask so many questions you are bound to make yourself insane. LOL. I'd like very very much to break the panic first habit!!!!

Doctors changing practices and POTS syndrome...

...See more Normally I take the whole doctors changing their practices in stride but recently my doctors have completely changed things and are now working under the banner of our understaffed hospital. The hospital does not understand POTS and though my doctors, one left to become the pain management specialist (meaning the hospital finally figured out that there were too many doctors perscribing addictive pain medicines), do understand POTS. I am the only patient either one of them has ever seen with POTS in 20 years of medicine. So when my doctor decided to take 3 weeks off out of the country before starting in her NEW medical group I was VERY anxious. She really shelters me from a lot of the baloney that goes on with the POTS treatment and needing fluids ect. I usually end up making the 2 hour drive to the next state to get my fluids because my Neurologist works there. Its crazy this thing... POTS. I hope all of you have plenty of spoons today.

...See more When I get anxious I like to take photos of the world around me. I live in a beautiful part of the world but I haven't found a way to share some of my photos in my feed. I've tried the photo sharing platforms I already use but the links do not work and I prefer NOT to use imagur as I dislike much of its content. Is there another platform? (I already use goggle, instagram, amazon, facebook, and a couple more) If sharing my coping skills can help others I'm willing to add yet another.
I'm proud of myself because I sang for a group despite doctors telling me I could not.

...See more I have a Autonomic Disorder that affects my heart and ability to breathe. The doctors said would not be able to sing. I've been singing my whole life (I'll be 50 in October). I trained and trained to be able to sing without getting faint. Finally on Thursday I not only sang but I also played my recorder.

...See more It was 4:30 am on a VERY rough morning. I wasn't feeling at all well. I was very anxious and so I turned to the Dysautonomia International website for support groups and there was 7 Cups of Tea. WOW what a huge difference it made. I made it through until my doctor opened her office. Got the help I needed for my health condition and got a good nights rest. I can't say enough about how much it met to know that someone, somewhere was there to listen.
