...See more Aging and being an empty nester has been so challenging.I divorced about 25 yrs ago and put all my focus on my kids . (maybe it was easier to just do that ,maybe I’ve lied to myself all these years about focusing only on being a mom and raising my kids . Maybe I just used it as an excuse). Now it’s years later the job is done they are on their own and I’m absolutely lost. No real friends no partner and I’m in my sixties now. The isolation is driving me crazy and making me depressed so bad I had to flee to a family member to stay with so I would be alone and get worse and worse,and more sympathetic. It’s horrible. Any suggestions on how to make new friends during a pandemic I would be greatful.My mental health is really suffering at the moment. I just feel useless in the world and washed up. like I’m just taking up space☹️

But everyone in the family carries on with the script because they dont know how to change it and they want you to carry on as well, but it is detrimental to your well being.
