...See more if you have experience with mood stabilizers or something similar, i need your help. i’m a few months on my first mood stabilizer and the lack of mania is… hard. nothing seems to feel like it brings as much joy as it used to and instead everything i used to love feels boring. what should i do? should i try to relearn how to experience joy in a healthy way? or should i try a different medication because this isn’t normal? it just feels like my medication is doing what it should be, but my excitement is a casualty.

...See more some days i don’t feel any particular way about this or think about it at all, but other days i feel like there generally isn’t a reason to live, but also no motivation to not live. it’s an incredibly annoying feeling and i’m envious of people who do have a reason to live or like something to look forward to. what do you do when you feel this way?
can you prevent an episode?

...See more has anyone had any success in deferring a manic or depressive episode that they felt coming on? personally, i tend to just brace myself for them when i observe symptoms indicating that one is starting, but would be interested in any tips or suggestions y’all have for potentially avoiding the episode all together. ~thanks for your time
