...See more I just wanted to express something deep down of my heart after several bad experiences with listeners, that unfortunately account for the huge majority, certain listeners that write in their bio "i don't talk to rudies", but act like that during the chats, and certain listeners that aren't really committed to help anyone, they just join 7cups because they are bored and want to chat around with no clear objective while also blocking who is really struggling. Unfortunately, in some cases, just the fact that you are struggling means that you are a loser, that you don't deserve to be listened, that you deserve to feel like that, that you deserve to be alone and that you are doing nothing about it. Unfortunately, for certain listeners, the only members that deserve to be heard are the ones that are laughing, that seem to be happy, that aren't talking about something negative, specially if that something negative is a taboo subject, or just a subject considered less important by society overall speaking. I don't know if this is the correct space to express this thinking, but here I am, and I will never become a listener myself until I am not sure that I can listen to everyone without distinction, without selecting only the ones that are funnier and disregarding the ones that are difficult, because, except for the trolls or people that actually join 7cups to be disrespectful and make fun of listeners, the others are really asking for help, and it is important to understand that those people are already "losing" when they come here, so no point in putting them down even further, and I really don't understand what goes on inside the mind of those listeners that by seeing someone struggling, they choose to give more preference to making fun of that member, showing disregard for his issue, blocking without justification or simply ignoring that member or by making a very cold "referral", carried with indifference, telling the member to either seek a therapist or another listener. If you are that kind of listener that tends to "pick" who to listen based on your own personal judgment and treat them badly, think about it and let me know in the comments if you think what you are doing is right, I invite you to that discussion.
