...See more Hello! I'm going a single mother defying the odds. I'm pursuing a psychology degree, driven to help children facing adversity and provide a safe place for foster care kids to open up and work through their journey of healing after traumatic events. My journey, however, has been filled with unexpected hardships that have tested my resilience and left me in a dire situation. *In May 2023, I escaped an abusive relationship, finding refuge in a small camper with my two precious children. We had little, but we had each other, and for a while, that was enough. Tragically, in February 2024, a devastating fire consumed our humble home, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Refusing to surrender, we moved forward, only to be struck by another blow in April. A car accident caused me severe nerve damage in my right foot and ankle, threatening my ability to walk unassisted. The pain is excruciating, and the additional burden of daily seizures from a brain cyst makes each day that much more of a battle. Miraculously, I've defied the doctor's expectations, taking my first steps without crutches, using only a cane to get around. But now, a new challenge looms: homelessness. Shelters turn me away because my children are temporarily staying with their father. The clock is ticking, and I'm desperately searching for a safe place to recover and provide for my family. I refuse to give up on my dreams or my children. I'm a fighter, and I'll do whatever it takes to overcome this. Your support could change our lives.
