i feel like i’ve ruined my life(academically)

...See more i’m a 4th year medical student i have been the top of my class since the first grade till mdcat (entrance exam which decides which clg you’ll go to) and i *** up i felt so much pressure that what if i don’t make it what if i try and don’t make it so with that fear i didn’t study at all it was 2020 covid lockdown i was severely depressed and then something happened to me which broke me completely and as expected i didn’t do good on my test few students who i used to compete with and who were usually behind me in school and college got into really great colleges i wanted to take a gap year but my parents forced me to take admission in a medical clg near us moving on for the first year i hardly studied in second year i did some better in third year things got better again i was on top of the class again but i feel so bad studying now or doing good now i think to myself you didn’t do good on the entrance exam why are you doing good now if you had studied good then there won’t be so many problems also my studies cost a lot now i’m in a private clg and it’s taken a toll on my parents finances i feel so bad for them and so guilty i have my final exams for 4th year in a month i did good in preliminary exams but i can’t get rid of this guilt
