Where did we come from? Human origins.

...See more Where did we come from? This question I find quite fascinating. As far as I’m aware there’s at least 4 explanations as to why we are here. The first one is through essentially magic. A deity uses magic to create humans. I’m not sure about the Hindu explanation but in Abrahamic religions and in Greek mythology people are created through art basically. They’re sculpted out of clay. I tend to think that the arts and magick are pretty much the same thing, but if someone out there disagrees then that’s fine. Some people believe in leprechauns and yet the sun still rises and world still turns. We can all afford to take a nap. Second is extraterrestrials. I don’t like to use the word alien, but it’s definitely easier on the hands to type. The web is resplendent in rabbit holes concerning how humans were created by reptilian aliens. They mixed Sasquatch DNA, and the DNA of a much cooler secret, mystery alien, in order to mine for gold and precious jewels. The Sasquatches were too unruly and so the humans had to be created because we’re such sheeple don’t cha know. Lol. There’s quite a number of people who actually believe this to be the case. This is A ok with me. I’m not saying it’s good or bad to believe this. I will say that sense is getting more and more elusive the older I get. Heck I’d sooner run into Sasquatch than actual sense nowadays. The Valentine’s chocolate still taste good though. Behind door number 3 we find the theory of evolution. Good ol Darwinian natural selection. Contrary to popular belief, usually that means propaganda, it doesn’t mean survival of the fittest. If that was true the dinosaurs will still be around and we’d still be opossums or whatever. I ain’t no rat. Lol. I find the opossum to be finer beast, but that’s just me. Actually🤓 rats are cleaner than mice. I haven’t seen an opossum waddle around with a plethora of dingleberries ( I’ll be surprised if that word doesn’t get censored ) either. But anyway, evolution means survival of those who are most adaptable to environmental change. Religious beliefs can be used by propagandists just as easily as scientific beliefs. As far as I’m concerned you’re more likely to believe in evolution if you were one of those kids who loved dinosaurs growing up. You probably read plenty of dinosaur books and saw plenty of evolutionary charts. Paleontology and evolution go hand in hand because every fossil ever found was indeed a transitional fossil. I don’t understand why creationists believe otherwise. We literally have feather imprints on dinosaur fossils for the love of Pete. Happy Valentine’s Day Pete. ♥️ Door number 4. This one’s a bit trippy so I’m gonna try my best to make sense here. Ok here goes. Reality is like a video game. Everything and everyone gets rendered as your character, you, approach it. Meaning it’s not there when you’re not. It’s like the old saying goes. If a tree falls down in the middle of the forest and if nobody is around to hear it does it make a sound? Some believe it does some believe it doesn’t. I don’t want to be a person who throws around words like narcissistic, but golly gee Batman! Even if nobody is around to hear it, it still creates vibrations in the air that even bugs will hear or feel. Even other plants will react to the vibrations in the air. But nobody cares for the trees anymore. Just ask ol Treebeard. He’s on nobody’s side because nobody is on his side. Ok back from Middle Earth! Technically you are the universe so everyone and everything who has ever lived, lives, or is going to be born in the future is you. So when the Valkyries descend, everything goes away too because you’re not there to perceive it and perception is everything. Gee I’ve seem to have left Middle Earth and wondered my way into a Davey Wilcock blue chicken cult seminar. Anyway it is true that perception is everything. It’s simply how our minds tend to work. But when Obi Wan Kenobi told Vader if you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine, he vanished, not reality itself. Sadly Star Wars continued to live on and eventually get sold to Disney. What happened? Evolution! Life, um, found a way! As Ian Malcolm so eloquently put it. You may not like it but apparently that’s what peak performance looks like. Anyhow I’m not saying it’s good or bad, but it’s all we got. 😀 So what do you think? Where did we come from? God, aliens, evolution, or non-duality? Maybe you have the truth! I just thought this was an interesting enough topic because I noticed someone say recently that they’re questioning the theory evolution yet I didn’t fancy them to be god-fearing man/woman. Which is cool. I just thought it fascinating. If not evolution then what? I like art don’t get me wrong. I know my way around a tube of play dough, but It’s cool. Ultimately my hope is everyone believes in what resonates with them.
How do you find meaning in your art?

Fear of Taxidermy. Don’t know where else to put this.

...See more Something that had always perplexed me is my fear of taxidermy. I don’t know where else to put this. Taxidermy is a hobby so I figured it belongs here. So forgive me if it doesn’t fit. Taxidermy is essentially the art of taking the skin of an animal and forming around a foam armature. The taxidermist does his or her best to capture the essence of the animal through various techniques. Some are better than others. You can find taxidermy at sports shops, taxidermy shops, restaurants, private collections and natural history museums etc. Its actually pretty common to see taxidermy in the Southern states because of our rich outdoor culture. To me the reason of my fear of taxidermy is lost to me. I can’t get to the bottom of it. Though I am quite fascinated by it. It was worse when I younger. The sheer uncanniness of suddenly encountering an animal stuck in a static pose, alive but not, real but not, it sends shivers down my spine. And when In my youth it was definitely a shock to the system. I’d either run or stay stuck, frozen with fear i guess you can say. It’s like encountering something that is real and in physical reality but simply isn’t congruent with either the rest of the surrounding of the home nor nature as a whole. It’s like my brain can’t digest it properly. It’s a trip. I have several theories as to why I’m like this. Though none are really sufficient. One has to do with DNA memory. Our evolutionary ancestors sadly had to live alongside wild animals that may have been proven harmful. The smilodon is a terrific example. Though most herbivorous animals are dangerous as well. Think mastodons and even large ground sloths. And it’s actually deeper than that. Millions of years of running from hungry dinosaurs. It seems the fear of other animals are deeply rooted in our DNA. Though this theory may have some small degree to do with my fear, I highly doubt most people ever think of such things. Nowadays we see animals more as a friend than a foe. Especially with children who have trouble making friends with other humans. I was one for sure. Maybe I fear taxidermy because on some level it’s like seeing the remains of a friend. Think about elephants who seem to honor their fallen by feeling the bones of other elephants with their trunks. Though that theory falls through because it’s more of fear reaction than actual sadness. Its not just real taxidermy that makes me feel this way but replicas do as well. Even restorations of long extinct animals from natural museums. I remember when I was young and my family and I visited a museum. I quite liked the dinosaur skeletons and such, however I couldn’t go near the mastodon and glyptodon exhibit. They were these large, lifelike models that looked quite real and shocking to me. Though now that I’m an adult I can stand such things to a certain degree but now I’m actually more fascinated by the fear. The high strangeness of it. There’s just something about it. I can’t wrap my mind around. I don’t want to say I’m obsessed with taxidermy, I own none in my home anyhow. But it’s like a kind of magic. It’s an uneasy kind of energy. Don’t get me wrong, I love nature and im fascinated by animals. And I appreciate the art of taxidermy and understand, aside from a hunter harvesting a trophy, that hobby taxidermists use animals that have already passed. I just want to get some kind of new insight or realizations into why I feel this way. Hopefully someone here has had similar experiences and maybe we can one day finally uncover the truth behind it. Feel free to share your thoughts if you may know what’s going on or have had similar experiences. 😊

...See more You ever notice how with some famous artists that they look like the art they make? Dali is a terrific example with his surreal mustache. I can name others of course. But did you ever like wonder what it would be like if you yourself was the art you made? Like you came from that same place. Maybe that would help clear up some baggage and neurosis. I don’t know. What do you think?
Am I incapable of being in a relationship?

...See more You know spiritual people sometimes say to those struggling that they’re already in a relationship. A relationship with the sun, moon, the earth etc. I think that’s a very profound thing to remind yourself of. That we are ultimately of nature, we are nature. However when it comes to finding a human partner then things become quite complicated indeed. There is an unspoken, unseen set of social rules that nobody tells you about but everyone assumes you know. It was like everyone was invited to some secret society to learn these things but you where left out somehow. It’s strange. Maybe it was once a part of our genetics once upon a time but now it seems to be slowly evolving out. Whatever the case, I find relationships to be quite fascinating. They really prove to shed a light on what it means to be human in the most direct way. You know there’s so many animals that only get together during mating season. There’s no way any semblance of a relationship can be formed between them. Not in the way human relationships are. Me personally I’ve never actually been in a relationship. I ultimately have no clue what I’m talking about. I don’t know how relationships work. I do know that you have to fulfill a certain amount of criteria in order to be able interact with others. And that criteria changes depending on who you’re wanting to talk with. Gee I feel like an alien. I just want to find out what I’m missing here.
World Building Extravaganza

...See more when I woke up this morning I watched a video on YouTube about this guy who does world building. It’s heavily inspired by The Lord of the Rings books as well as other fantasy adventure stories. So I now have this weird idea to do create my own fantasy world. I think it’ll be fun. Something to do that’s positive enough to keep me motivated to do it. I too love everything Tolkien, medieval fantasy related. But I also have a love for Star Wars, mostly the original and prequel trilogies. There’s this great book called The Visual Dictionary of Star Wars and that particular book is a source of inspiration considering all the wonderful props from the movies it has. I’m also into faerie lore. I want it to be like psychedelic art related. Lots of brilliant colors and mind-bending shapes etc. What do you all think? Maybe if some of you have experience with world building then you can give me some suggestions. Maybe get inspired to create your own. I think it will be a great way to fill in the day.
