I'm a single man experiencing emotional, financial and existential stresses. I have a post-graduate education and have had good jobs in the past. Now I'm seriously underemployed as a FT shelf-stocker getting paid 1/5th of prior earnings. The job search seems futile but I try to keep at it despite minimal response and little 'traction'. My friends have slipped away, my family is aloof and really not there at all for me. I'm pretty much alone, low on funds, living in a somewhat precarious situation, unable to land new work for which I'm qualified and without a lot of hope for the future - kind of nihilistic by default lately. So I'm just here to see about connecting with others who may be experiencing the same or similar situations. Maybe we can help each other?
