Bio

I'm a white Neurodivergent 34 year old Queer Transman who's in Canada.

I have a Learning Disability, A.D.D., Depression, Anxiety and Traits of BPD. I usually just say that I have BPD. I was Adopted as a baby.

I'm not a Therapist or anyone who is certified to assist anyone with their Mental Health, but I'd like to support anyone who may need to talk to someone.

I know that this is probably stated in the rules of this website, but I want to make it clear that I don't tolerate racism, ableism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia and anything that harms people.

previously, in my bio I used to have the term “ I support BIPOC ( Black, Indigenous and People of Colour ) “ and not everyone’s okay with these terms and I’m sorry if I’ve offended anyone who saw this on my bio

I write poetry, I love horror/thriller movies and tv shows, I love talking

My chat sessions are 15 to 20 minutes

Sometimes Members block us and that’s okay

...See more Hello everyone, I know that I made a poem yesterday, but I feel like what I have to share in this post, might help a lot of people. The first time that I talked with a Member, I was blocked, I’m not sure why. Then I started talking to two Members and one Member concerned me so I asked a Mentor for assistance, but because I was so focused on asking for assistance, one of the Members I was talking to, blocked me after I explained that I was still fairly new on here and I apologized to them, but they didn’t want to hear that I talked with a member last night and then I repeated back parts of what they told me, ( I think the Listener training tells us to do this ), and ever since then, I think they started to use a rude tone with me because whenever I’d suggest things or try to be there for them, they came across like I was bothering them, especially after I pointed out that what they said to me and the generalizations they made about women and Transmen, were not true ( Transmen are men, not women, but they made generalizations about the both of us ) they ended up eventually blocking me. I don’t think the generalizations were necessarily harmful, but I took it personally because I am a Transman ( it’s in my bio. As a gentle reminder. Please look at someone’s profile incase they have their pronouns listed and please don’t just assume someone’s pronouns ) I don’t want to scare you by influencing you to think that someone will block you, but I just want you to know that if you get blocked one day, that sometimes we just don’t connect with someone, sometimes people may accidentally block us, or they don’t like us. You also don’t have to put up with rude behaviour just because your role is to listen Yes, our role is to listen, but we deserve to be treated well too. All of this, is to say that i know that sometimes it’s very easy to take things personally, and I’m not telling you not to, but please keep in mind that we won’t connect with everyone we talk to and that’s okay
Welcome!

...See more I just started volunteering on 7 Cups I believe on July 15th, so I'm fairly new still. But I want to welcome new Listeners and something I've learned so far is that it's okay to ask questions. There's alot of Listeners, Chat Supporters, Mentors, Coaches and many people in various roles on here ( I'm sorry for the role's I've left out ) who are willing to help you. I'm also, willing to answer some questions you might have and if I don't have an answer for you, I'll ask someone else and let you know what they tell me.
I'm new on here again

...See more I signed up a long time ago to become a listener, but to be honest, i didn't take it seriously. Now, I'm back on here to spread kindness and to show some support. I've sat on the sidelines for far too long, especially when it comes to supporting other people within the 2SLGBTQIA+/LGBTQIA2S+ community, that I'm in. I know what it's like to be apart of this community and to also struggle with my mental health and I'm here if you ever want someone to listen to you
