Warm cup of conversation with Amazing Aisha💜🌻🤩

...See more Heylooooo Lovelies🌻💜 I'm here to share a beautiful and a warm cup of conversation/Interview with our ever Amazing and Shining Aishaaaa🤩💃 The wonderful Interviewer💙 : @Fristo The Sparkling Interviewee💜 : @Aishaa97 💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙 Fristo🌻 : From the sweet teen at cups to the amazing Aisha today, how’s been your journey at 7cups so far? Aisha💙: I first became a listener in 2014 as a teen after struggling with my mental health. As a teen 7 cups had helped me find somewhere where I was accepted and I quickly fell in love with the idea of being able to provide emotional support to others. I learnt many communication/social skills and my knowledge expanded in the area of mental health. I also learnt many leadership skills which have come in very handy. Now as an adult, my 7 cups journey has expanded wildly. I have come to learn so many new personal and professional skills; I have learnt to connect and relate to people on a much deeper level. I have learnt to believe in myself and my skills and have found the courage to take on many roles. I have also met many incredible people on here who constantly encourage and believe in me. I have much to appreciate 7 cups for. Fristo🪄 :What motivates you for your generous kindness you shower at cups? Aisha💜: Gonna quote Glen here 😛 basically when I fill up others' cups it fills up my own. There is nothing that brings me more joy than spreading kindness here and knowing that people feel special, loved, accepted and feel included. I know for many here, their days may be bleak, people may be in difficult situations, people may be experiencing a world of hurt and I fully believe that showing even the smallest act of kindness can help turn someone’s day around and even save lives. “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.” ― Steve Maraboli Fristo🌷: What do you look forward to in your time with us at cups? Aisha🌻: I look forward to growing in my role as a listener firstly, I have much to learn, many skills to develop and plenty of topics I have yet to encounter. I am also looking forward to taking on many different leadership roles around the site as I absolutely enjoy volunteering my time to 7 cups ( if I didn’t have to sleep or attend to academic obligations and other adulting responsibilities I would probably be here 24/7 😛). I look forward to spreading continuous kindness, love and smiles every day whether it be in PMs, chat rooms or the forum! I also look forward to many more laughs, conversations and chat room events to experience with everyone I meet along the way! Fristo🌼 : What matters the most for you outside cups? Aisha🌷: Hmm, I own 5 cats who I absolutely adore, and their well-being matters to me very much. I am currently undertaking a double degree in Psychology and Counselling and it is very important for me that I attain this degree as it has been my dream since I was a teen to provide support to people and assist them in shaping their lives the way they want to see it! I also am blessed with a baby sister who matters very much to me and being the best role model I can be for her is something I aspire to do! My journey in therapy is also very important because I want to work on being the healthiest (mentally) and the best version of myself I can be! Also cup noodles, pasta, cookies and any type of chocolate lol Fristo🏵️: How do you handle and carry yourself through tough times and hard situations? Aisha🥀: Good question, I would say plenty of self-care, going to therapy, plenty of me time but mainly just supporting others and being kind to both myself and others helps me. And 7 cups provides that for me, being able to spread kindness and support people on a daily basis helps me manage my own personal situations. And when needed taking a few days for myself away from everything is sometimes needed and helpful. After all, I can not look after others if I myself am drained. Lastly, just having a “ this too shall pass” mindset also has been been very effective. There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” ― John Holmes Fristo🌸 : What’s one thing everyone should remember? Aisha💙: When you are feeling ignored/unaccepted or you feel like you aren’t doing well as a listener just remember that collectively we all bring our own strengths and talents to 7 cups. Sure listening might not be for everyone but each of us brings our own set of experiences, values, goals, personalities etc to 7 cups and we all have something to contribute whether it be modding the chatrooms or supporting the subcommunities or even choosing to only take chats. So please next time any of you feel doubts about the site and if you even belong here just try to remember that you matter, you belong and you are making a difference. I leave you with a quote to remind us all of our mission on 7 cups. “One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone” ------------------------- Thank you soooo much for this super amazing interview Aisha💙🌻Thank you for all your kindness, support, warm words and cozy hugs💙🌻 You're Incredible dearest🤩💃 Thank you so much Fristo for always always coming up with beautiful interview series with sooo much of energy and enthusiasm 🤩💃 These are not just experiences shared but also words of motivation for others🌻 Thank you💙 Flowers for Aisha and Fristo💐💐 ------------------------- This interview is part of the Living with Leaders Interview Series. ...See more Heyloo Amazing cupsers🌻💙 Want to get to know more about @BlueRiverCares and their journey on cups?? 💙 🌊 Yayyy let's goooo🤩💃 The Ever Amazing Interviewer🌻💐 : @Aishaa97 The Super Awesome Interviewee ✨🌷: @BlueRivercares 💜💙💜💙💜💙💜🌟💙💜💙💜💙💜 Aisha🌻: From the sweet teen at cups to the amazing adult you are today, how’s been your journey at 7 cups so far? Blue✨: I had first joined in 2022 as a teen. I was really into roles and after a huge burnout and having lots of offsite responsibilities i had to step out of cups which was difficult for me so i had to delete my old account for my own well being. Coming back to the adult side looked like joining another realm of 7cups. The adult side was a bit tough for me as I joined again as a newbie, but with constant support of mentors I could engage and interact with the adults in chat rooms as well as pms. Aisha✨: Which is your favourite role at 7 cups and why? Blue💙: hehe that’s a tough question. The role which I really adored and enjoyed is chat support and mentoring. I really had a wish to pass whatever I have learned from my peers and mentors and help all the listeners who need a guide or friend on this site. Aisha🌟: What have you learnt in your life so far, from which the world can benefit? Blue🌻: walk your own path. 7cups has really helped me to be more open minded in things I see. This peer pressure can make you stray from the path you started to carve for your future. Don’t mind other people’s aspirations, don’t ever let someone else’s goals and dreams influence your vision of life. It’s your path and you decide where it takes you and how long it takes you to see it through. Aisha🌷: How does life at 7 cups impact your real life? Blue🌟: 7cups has personally developed me a lot on how I interact and communicate. I have also given more priority to self-care after my few months in cups. This site has also given me lots of knowledge on mental health and psychology. I am grateful to the entire team of 7 cups and giving us an opportunity to learn and contribute. Aisha😄: You are always so friendly and sweet with everyone you meet, what motivates you to be the lovely person you are? Blue✨: If others feel happy to see me it’s more than enough. Everyone is awesome here and we care for each other as a community. I have been more funny i guess after joining in cups( only in text😛). The wonderful sessions have also made me more active and cheerful. ✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷 A bonus question from @Fristo: Fristo🌻: What all is blue doing at cups in 2024? Blue💙: 2024? That’s next year. I hope to stay in cups and continue mentoring and listening to my members. Thank you for interviewing me ,really grateful for the opportunity to be a part of The Living with Leaders interview series! ------------------------- Thank you so much Riverooo for sharing a glimpse of your cups journey with us and giving us a chance to know Rivero a bit more😄🌻🤗 Thank you so much Aishaa and Fristo for coming us with amazing questions and for making some time for this interview🤩💃 Flowers for Rivero, Aisha and Fristo💐💐 ------------------------- This interview is part of the Living with Leaders Interview Series. ...See more Heylooo Loveliesss💙🌻 I'm here to share a glimpse of cups journey of our Shining and Amazing @Star001 🤩🌟💃 The amazing Interviewer🌻 : @Fristo The Awesome Interviewee✨: @Star001 🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙 Fristo✨ : Star, how’s been your cups journey from the start up till today?✨ Star🌻: To be honest with you, 7 cups has been a part of my life on and off since 2016. That was when I first joined here as a member and to seek help! Back then we had guest accounts and such, and the browse listeners page on the app would look like a directory! There were many instances where 7 cups and its listeners have helped me get through things. Life went by, but in the year 2020, I strongly considered becoming a listener during another somewhat hard phase in my life where I felt really lost and everything seemed so vague. I feel like showing light to other people helped me find the same clarity in myself. Being strong for others helped me be strong for myself :) That is how I made a humble beginning. Got verified soon after, but I had no idea I would be a leader on here one day. My journey on 7 cups has been surprising, eventful, and full of learning and growth in the best of ways. I have been able to create positive relationships to peers, members and fellow leaders which I cherish truly. I think I could stand here today and be so grateful for how far I could come by with the help of our entire community. Fristo🌻: What are some of the takeaways for you from your time at cups so far?💙 Star✨: Great question! From the starting of my journey as a listener, I feel like I could see the happiness and relief that members had from just having someone be there for them. I learned the importance of emotional support, and how important mental health is for everybody. Only if we all had someone to talk to, someone to be with and that is what 7 cups provides to all of us for free. I feel also like everybody has something to teach you. Through my journey on 7 cups, I have strongly looked up to other people and learned from them. Some of them perhaps do not even know that they taught me so much. That is how it is with our community… if you take a look around, you will find everybody is so unique and beautiful, and we all share one thing in common, which is care for each other :) Another major takeaway is that help is available and knowledge is available, so one should not feel inhibited or hesitant. Knowledge is power, and it would be a pity if one felt shy, or scared enough to not reach for what they deserve. These three takeaways are pillars in my listening journey. Fristo🌻 : How does your presence at cups reflect in your off-cups presence, and vice-versa? Star🌟: 7 cups gave me a sense of community. Whether be it you feel alone, or not or stuck in life and going through something - you are not really alone and you are not helpless. You will be okay and everyone is with you. 7 cups also helped me refine my leadership qualities in the sense that I grew more into myself, and it feels like I am not only able to give back to the community but also grow so much myself. I am grateful for the trust and belief that everyone has on me, it has had a positive impact on my resilience and my want to constantly keep going and reach my goals no matter what. Fristo💙 : What activity/role interests you the most in the cups community?☀️ Star❤️: Oof tough question. I feel like I have chosen the set of roles that I have at present for a reason. It is because each of those roles fulfill me a lot when I am performing them. It feels natural, and it feels like I am doing what I am meant to do. I am really happy and satisfied where I am at this point and I would not feel like me if I am to choose one role over another. I do have a favorite role though, it is because that role means something to me and it does stand out a bit more than others. It is Quality Mentor. That was my very first role on here, and the very beginning of my journey as a leader. I remember exploring the mentor page where there was an option to “become a leader”. I seemed to fulfill all the requirements for becoming a quality mentor, but I just completely lacked belief in myself. I was like…. this can’t be for me! Fun fact, I erased the entire application form after filling it out because I didn’t think I would get in. Thankfully, I filled it out again and submitted. I was reached like within a week and the role was mine. (Talk about believing in favorites 😛) Fristo💙 : What’s the purpose of your life, and how far have you come in fulfilling that purpose?✨ Star🌻: My purpose in life is to guide others and show light to others who are in the dark. I have had to figure out a lot of things on my own and these knowledge and experiences that I have gained first hand can be extremely helpful to those that really need it. I am also very compassionate towards those unprivileged. If anything I hope I can show to others that it is possible to reach your goals and dreams, and tough times in life will never truly break you. Fristo🤎 : What do you want to be remembered for?😄 Star☀️ : I do not have entitlement towards being remembered, but if my acts and actions allow for it then it will as a natural outcome. If I can be strong, educated and empowered then it is possible for everyone else as well. That is what I stand for. If I could create a positive impact by any means, then that is what I would like to be remembered by. Thanks Fristo for interviewing me, as you made me reflect on a lot about myself as I answered you! ------------------------- Thank you so much Starryyy💛 for giving us a chance to know you a bit more✨🤩💃 Thank you so much Fristo for all the beautiful questions🤩 And for this amazing interview🌻💙 Flowers for Starry and Fristo💐 ------------------------- This interview is part of the Living with Leaders Interview Series. ...See more Heylooooo cupsers🌻 Wanna get to know a bit more about the Awesome @Harsvin ???? Lessgooooo😄 The amazing interviewer🌻 : @Fristo The Beautiful interviewee💙: @Harsvin Fristo: Hi Harsvin, thanks for your kind presence in the community. Would you like to share with us how your 7cups journey started and how it evolved?😀 Harsvin: My journey on 7 Cups started back in 2015, when I joined as a member. I connected with a few amazing listeners who were very kind and helpful. After receiving wonderful support, I signed up to be a listener the next day, as I understood how it felt to need someone to listen and be there for you; thus, I decided to help others as a volunteer listener, and that's how my listening journey began. Fristo: How does life at 7cups impact your real life?🌻 Harsvin: It has shaped me into a compassionate individual who values the importance of being there for someone and truly listening. Fristo: Any dreams or plans or vision, for the projects you lead on and off 7cups?💛 Harsvin: I'm currently leading the AL team, and my vision is to strengthen the active listening skills of listeners in our community by encouraging them to explore the AL tests and ensuring they have a smooth learning experience. Fristo: What’s the meaning of ‘progress’ for you?😄 Harsvin: To me, progress is taking baby steps; it does not matter how many failures and hurdles are along the way; the key is to believe in yourself and keep on moving forward. Eventually, growth is achieved with devotion, dedication, and the determination to not give up. Fristo: What’s your idea of a fulfilling life?🌸 Harsvin: In my perspective, the idea of a fulfilling life is living in the present moment, cherishing each moment in life, and making the most of each day. Life is short, we have no control over the uncertainties of life, and worrying too much about something that is not within our control lessens the peace within ourselves. We, however, can shape our present moment in the best way possible. Fristo: If you were to recommend 7cups to your real life friend, what would you say to them about 7cups?💛 Harsvin: I believe that we learn new things in life and encourage one another by sharing experiences, which makes it relatable on a personal level. Hence, I would like to share my journey on 7 Cups and how it has supported me, made me grow in so many ways, and helped me discover my active listening skills, which have benefited me both online and offline and for which I will be forever thankful. Thank you so much Harsvin🌻 for helping us get to know the wonderful you more yayyy😄💃 Thank you so much Fristo for the amazing questions and for dedicating time for this beautiful interview🌻💙 Flowers for Harsvin and Fristo 💐🌻 ------------------------- This interview is part of the Living with Leaders Interview Series. An All-Rounder Buddy🌻💙
Community Projects & Events / by cristlecares
Last post
November 22nd, 2022
...See more @yourbuddy30 is an all-rounder. They support both teens and adults. Yes, they are an ATL! (Adult-Teen Listener). Let’s hear from them what ATL is and what led them to becoming one! Fristo: What’s ATL, buddy? How can one become one? Buddy: An ATL is someone who has access to both teens as well as the adult side. As an ATL you can listen to anyone above the age of 13 and support them in the best way possible. With the help of a Peter pan badge, you also have access to support rooms (listener and member support rooms). Here is a link that has more information regarding that. You would have to undergo a small interview and get yourself verified to be an ATL. Apply to be an ATL [https://www.7cups.com/forum/CommunityProjectsEvents_184/AdultTeenListenersAgingUpSupport_1766/ApplytobeanAdultTeenListenerHereUpdated_214321/1] Fristo: Oh, thanks for that useful information! Now, I need to ask you this. Many of us feel scared of the interview process that is required to become an ATL. Is it really very scary? How does one deal with it? Buddy: I was very scared about the interview. I am an introvert and interviews were not my cup of cake. I understand the interview process is very tough. I had reached out to my listener coach regarding that (as they themselves were an ATL) and they made me comfortable throughout the process. I was skeptical if I had to do it but then I thought “What is the worst thing that could happen?” and my answer to that was to get rejected. But I wouldn't have the regret that I didn't even give it a try. The interview is a maximum 5-10 minute meeting. I was super nervous but my interviewer made it so easy for me. To be frank, I did fumble at one of the questions, and I thought I had failed my test but they were so sweet enough to make me feel comfortable throughout the process. It was like two people who knew each other catching up rather than an interview. It went smoothly for me and I do not regret my decision to be an ATL. They were also very accommodating about the time and very friendly. The whole process seems to be scary but in reality it is very easy and friendly for us to crack it. You can also reach out to a mentor or listener coach for more guidance or support through that. Fristo: What was your motivation for becoming an Adult Teen Listener, and how is life like as an ATL at Cups? Buddy: I had a special bond with one of my members and I could not let them go. I couldn't have waited till they aged up. That was my biggest motivation to become an ATL. I also thought about all the pros and cons of becoming one. 1) Have access to both the sides 2) If I fail to provide the best support to adults, I can also listen to teens and help them. 3) Attend sessions on both sides of cups (I love hosting and attending sessions) 4) I host a few teen sessions so I wouldn't have to miss that 5) I want to become an academy ambassador one day and I would need an ATL badge for that. 6) I had a good bond with my teen fellow listeners which I would then miss. Cons-: The ATL interview. The pros were so many that I could not let one con overpower it. Life as an ATL is fun. I can support everyone here at cups irrespective of their side. Take part in sessions, contact listeners as well as members, host sessions and lastly still be in touch with my members and listeners from the teen side. Fristo: Were you a teen before at Cups? How was it for you to transition from the teen side to the adult side of 7Cups? If I may ask a silly question here as well: Who makes more fun company: adults or teens? 😛 Buddy: Yes I was a teen before. I evolved into an adult here. It was definitely a bit tough to transition. It felt like being a newbie all over again. I was afraid to take part in group sessions and everything seemed so new. I messaged in the listener rooms to see all the new people having a conversation. But the adult listeners were very kind and welcoming. They provide you with the best help you need. I took not more than 2 days to fit in. There are definitely a lot of changes on the adult side, but they are all good changes. After receiving my ATL badge, I found it more relaxing to be here at cups and also enjoy the adult side. Haha, adults definitely make more fun company than the teens (I love the teens too) Adults are all teens by heart so I guess cups are just teens and no adults here at cups xD. Fristo: Any message for the teens about to age up? Buddy: Teens, we have got your back. You would enjoy the adult side more than the teen side, I can assure you that. It is going to be easy. We got you. We will support you in the best possible way. It would be our pleasure to have you on the adult side with us. Fristo: Any message for the adult listeners looking to become ATL but not quite sure yet? Buddy: I understand being an ATL can be scary as I have been in your shoes not long ago, but it is definitely worth giving it a try. A 5-minute friendly interview is all it takes. There are a lot more pros than cons so I would recommend everyone to give it a thought! Thank you so much @yourbuddy30 for sharing your thoughts and showering your kindness so generously🌻💐 Thank you so much @Fristo for dedicating some time to take this beautiful interview🌻💐 ------------------------- This interview is part of the Living with Leaders Interview Series. A Talk on self care with kindcherry2

Last post
April 13th, 2023
...See more The amazing Talker🌻 : @kindcherry2 What is your idea of spending a balanced time on 7cups? Share your idea of how a good day looks like on 7cups, for you. Kind : A balanced time on 7 cups is when you spend a couple of hours or less on here to support people and listen to them. But not take on so much roles and chats that you get overwhelmed. I tend to stay on 7 cups all day but sometimes I will take a break and not look at 7 cups and forget I have it until I get an email and then I'll look at the message and respond. But usually I don't get to overhelmed by 7 cups. What challenges did you face in trying to strike that balance? Kind : I didn't really have any challenges I guess this just came natural to me. I know when to leave a situation that is when I'm stressed and irritable and moody. How did you try to deal with those challenges? Kind : I took the time I needed off of 7 cups and it helped me feel mentally better. The benefits are that I guess less stressed and overhelmed this way and actually enjoy helping people and appreciating being in the moment. That if you feel overwhelmed and stressed don't take on more chats and roles on 7 cups. Take the time to take care of yourself and your mental health as it is first priority. What are the benefits of improving your balance for the time you spend on cups? Kind : The benefits are that I guess I'm less stressed and overhelmed this way and actually enjoy helping people and appreciate being in the moment. What message would you like to give to the cupsers who have come to be negatively attached to cups, in one of the many ways? I have so much to tell about this listener. She made me feel like I'm talking to one of my close ones. I really would love to talk to her again. She will make you feel better within first few minutes of interaction. She is soooo kind. She is really a beautiful soul♥️. May god bless you :)
