...See more Hello. I don't know how to overcome this and I feel so alone :( I got into a car accident 8 years ago and haven't driven since. I can drive to my near Target which is about 2 miles from home (5min). Also, I carpool with my husband to got to work, and my friends pick me up to hang out. So I never really cared about trying to drive again. Until today. I just got an email for an opportunity to go on a business trip to another state...alone. Which means I will have to get a rental for transporatation. I have to tell my boss that I don't drive, and I'm terrified I will lose out on a great job opportunity if I don't go on this business trip. I can take a cab or Uber, which I usually do, but I don't want it to be an issue. I'm so scared to drive. I don't want to drive...EVER. But at the same time I want to be free. I'm scared I'm going to hurt someone (both outiside/inside the car). I'm also afraid of getting into an accident again and losing my car again. No car = can't get to work = lose my job. I also get panic attacks if I can't find parking and I have to drive around and around. I also don't want to drive to places I've never been before becaue I'm scared I get lost. I'm freaking 32 years old and can't freakin drive. It's so frustrating. I've been a burden on my husband and I feel so guilty. What should a tell my boss and how can I overcome my fear of driving?
