2023 Stanley Cup Finals: Vegas vs Florida, who you got?

...See more Making a post for my Path. I think Florida has all the momentum. Tkachuk, Barkov, and Bobrovski all are making strong Conn-Smythe campaigns. They have the depth, they have the stars, they have the hot goalie. The perfect recipe for the cup. The question will be: have they rusted up since sweeping Carolina and having this extra rest? Or will that extra rest only make them more powerful? Vegas won't be a cakewalk though either. GM George McPhee has continuously enjoyed the salary cap freedom they've been blessed with since 2018, but that only makes winning the cup that much more critical. Vegas can match up with Florida on every line, they are a very well calibrated team that uses their balance to adapt to different game flows. They're fast enough to play high-pace, skilled enough to slow it down, and strong enough to compete in the grind. Goaltending is not as strong as Bob has been for FL, but the job is a bit easier when the defense in front of you has taken the least amount of penalties the entire playoffs. I think Florida has the extra juice to get them over Vegas. Panthers in 5.
Getting into sim racing and Formula 1

...See more One of my paths asked me to make a post so I thought I'd write about something I'm excited about. Just got back from a work trip in Vegas and saw the crazy cool F1 track they're currently building. Traffic is an absolute horror movie, but wow it's gonna look awesome when it's race day in November. I got extremely lucky and saw a reddit post by someone giving away their sim racing wheel (an entry level model he had upgraded from), instead of the $200 he could have gotten by selling it on Ebay/***. I took a shot and commented, turned out he was in a city close by and liked that I was just getting into it. The rest of the week I spent scouting Poshmark and *** for the pedals and shifter, in a week I found both bringing the total for a full Logitech G29 and shifter for under $100. Today I went to Home Depot and got some lumber to put together the chair. There's a lot of videos on youtube with plans and a list of materials needed. I plan to update again after it's put together (and I have all my fingers re-attached), but there's so many great things out there you never thought you'd get into. I always knew there was this hobby there, but once I finally pulled the curtain back a bit I really loved what I saw! Also: if anyone here is into Sim racing I'm on Xbox, will definitely need some tips when I graduate from Dirt and Forza to F1 23!
