...See more I was with this person for about 8 months. We're great friends. He's homeless & has little to no support in his life. I've helped provide for him and allow him to feel more comfortable working through his problems. He quit relying on drugs. When I met him, he'd realized his current path was going to kill him or send him to jail for a long time and was very open to change. Despite the positive changes, he has relapses of abuse. He usually chases me & bars me from leaving the situation because he needs a "resolution" to believe I'll come back. He never punches me & very seldom slaps me. He bodily restrains me and chokes me. Since quitting drugs, he's become increasingly schizophrenic. I tried to pursuade him to get treatment but he avoided it. I got him to the psych ward yesterday after two episodes of extreme abuse, the first in a construction site where he choked me until I passed out, threatened me with a piece of rebar, asked which hole was my size(for a grave), started to rape me, said that God told him this was the last day he'd ever see me, told me the voices in his head said to kill me & asked how to make them stop. I talked him down & escaped back home. The next day he came to my house, thought that my friend at the door was the police & flipped again. I sincerely believed I'd die. I stayed in the psych ward with him for a few hours because I knew I'd be safe & he needed the support. He seems fairly happy in the ward. I'm trying to process the trauma.
