Howdy,

I'm Navi and graduated from Case Western Reserve with a degree in nutritional biochemistry and I'm currently doing cancer research at Stanford. I have a lot of experience when it comes to open communication and I'd love to continue to help others during these challenging times. I have over 8 years of public speaking experience, and 4 years of tutoring and acting as a scholarship/health chair at my fraternity. I like to dabble in many different activities but I particularly enjoy weightlifting, rock climbing, video games, baking, and movies/shows.

From my perspective, listening, sharing, and outreach are the steps I like to take to help individuals. Listening is important to fundamentally understand the issues someone is going through. While there are broad categories, everyone's story will be unique and it's a good idea to make the issue personable. Sharing is important to show someone that they are not alone; often times when we are stuck in a hole, it's difficult to know where to turn to for help or who to trust. While everyone's story is unique, it helps to know that there are others who are facing similar situations and that there is always someone one can trust for help or just to listen. Outreach is a great umbrella term for a solution. Often times, a solution can take time to develop and/or manifest; but, it always helps to have a rough plan moving forward. Bouncing ideas is a good way to start and having a mental sketch is a great way to get the plan rolling.
