...See more Good day loves! Sorry for the late post ^^||| Today I'm going to address something that means a lot to our community: not pouring out of an empty cup. When we try to give when we have nothing, we won't be able to give to our fullest potential and we even risk becoming empty, tired, and eventually breaking down. So the question is, how do we refill our cups? My go to for that question is rest, rest, rest. I burn incense, take a hot bath, take time away from work or other people, and do my best to just make time for myself. So the questions of the day are: 1. What drains your cup? 2. What fills your cup? 3. How has your day been going? I hope everyone is having a pleasant day! I can't wait to hear from you all!

...See more Good morning lovelies! Today, I'd like to bring us to experiments as a topic :) Weird right? Well let me explain before I totally lose you! In a lab, we come up with a hypothesis. If these reactants come together, we should get this product! When talking about physics, we focus on how things work, function, and how to calculate that. In botany, we try to make plants grow better and focus on how plants function. In biology, we study animals and how they adapt overtime. In meteorology, we study weather and their patterns and causes. There ain't no party like a science party. 🎉🎊 Alright now you're probably asking "what the heck is this weirdo going on about??? <.<||" Lemme tell ya! Our lives and feelings are similar to daily experiments. We put things in, expecting a certain outcome, and sometimes the outcome we expect doesn't happen. Maybe we got sick one day and our day was bad because of it. Maybe you know you feel sad today so you take a day off but feel stressed. This doesn't mean it's your fault however! Sometimes, experiments don't happen as planned and that can sometimes be bad or good! The important part is to keep trying. For me personally, I know at night, I feel relatively sad. So I usually get something sweet, a bubble bath, and relaxing music because I know it works for me. But when I'm testing, I sometimes become extremely stressed by time or the need to keep an A. While I don't have a surefire solution, I do what I can and keep trying new things to help destress until I find something that helps me slow down and breathe a bit! Before bed, I used to have nightmares and cry a lot so I started working on ways to clear my mind before bed and relax so I don't go to sleep carrying all of the day's stresses. I know me best so sometimes, doing little "experiments" can prove effective or not effective but either way, I can identify my needs, strengths, weaknesses, and changes overtime to I work with those! So here are my questions for today: 1: What are some ways that you destress or relax that work for you? 2: Could you try something new? 3: Do you know of any "emotional patterns" that you have? 4: How is your day? :) Hope everyone has a pleasant day! 🌻🍯🌻

...See more Happy Valentine's Day everyone! [https://78.media.tumblr.com/cea08a35756c95fc6f0cec36cad2dd09/tumblr_ol5g0sveHx1vb948qo1_500.gif] Today, I'd like to talk about a love beyond just our love for people: the love that defines our joy. For some people, Valentine's day means showing love and appreciation towards our significant other. I, for one, adore my girlfriend and she means the absolute world to me! However, on the other side of my love and passion, I've noticed I've been lacking in loving myself and making myself happy. To give an example, I tied myself down to business as a career and refused to look any further because I wasn't advanced in math or anything else. I had forced myself to be good at what I hated until one day this month, I received something in the mail: a letter from a highly selective college in Boston offering me a reward for having the top chemistry test scores in my grade last semester. Growing up, I dreamed of going into a field of science until I belittled myself for not being amazing at math and my dad told me to keep my passion for science as a hobby and nothing more. Little me would definitely be heartbroken with her little science experiments and her nose in hundreds of books about geology, meterology, and the stars to hear something like that. So I finally let go of that rope and I decided to take some physics courses and astronomy courses, not letting my dream fall under me when I still haven't ruined my chances. On another side, school and my thoughts towards the future have been draining. Seeing my girlfriend, taking hot baths, treating myself to a nice dinner, and so on have not been a treat I've been giving myself because I have been too focused on the stress and responsibility clouding my life. I finally recognize to be successful, I don't need to break myself to pieces and torment myself with papers and checks to pay. It's important to give yourself breaks and indulge in small pleasures and take sick days when you need it! So this little spiel leads me to today's questions: What are your passions and what makes you happy? What are activities you enjoy or interests you have? How can you show yourself love and kindness this Valentine's day? and How do you plan to celebrate today? Let me know how your day is going this February 14th! I can't wait to hear from everyone today ^^

...See more Good morning everyone! Yesterday while I was in accounting, I overheard someone who said that they never have time to eat breakfast and I reflected on that and noticed that I also rarely eat breakfast. Breakfast can set your day off right with a good cup of tea and maybe some eggs, toast, or even a yummy orange and a cinnamon roll however, with our busy schedules, many of us neglect this meal. I always rush to class and forget to grab something to eat or a bottle of water and only take my medications. On weekends, I'm in a rush to therapy and friend's houses and study sessions or to watch a movie (I'm a scifi and horror nerd). So this leaves me with my questions for all of you today: 1. What is your favorite kind of breakfast? 2. Do you eat breakfast daily? If not, how could you try to squeeze it in? and 3. How is your day going? I can't wait to hear from everyone today! Hope your day is pleasant!

...See more Good morning lovelies Sorry for that long disappearance there, I was sick and went to an ER and yikes. It's been a long 2 weeks. But that makes me think of medicine a lot too and recovery so I've decided to make my post about medicine today :) Many of us take pills, go to therapy, and so on but I find that they aren't the only things that help us. For me personally, poetry is what kept me going. Writing and reading poetry helps me escape into another world and see other people struggle but recover from similar things I have. Stories have always been a huge healer in my recovery process. It's like opening a little bottle that's full of emotion so that it won't break open and I can take a breather through my creativity. Another big thing for me is rest. I push myself a lot in school, work, tutoring, therapy, and so on even with a rough home. I find that nothing can help more than treating myself to hot tea, a warm bath, a good nap, and a good back. Sometimes, just resting your mind and body for a bit can go a long way in a hectic schedule that often wears you down. How do you handle a rough day, a busy mind, or help yourself recover from things? What is your own little "medicine" or medicine helper that makes a difference in your life? Or tell me how your day has been or anything else you'd like to share! I've missed you guys! ^^ <3 I can't wait to hear from you all again!

...See more Hello lovelies! How is everyone's day going this Wednesday? I'm in school today which makes me think of other students who might be having a tough or stressful day so I'd like to share some tips to help with student stress! Hopefully these help you get through school or work a little easier today ^^ Tip 1: Drink plenty of water through the day! Tip 2: Be sure to get lunch and if possible, get a good breakfast! Tip 3: Find a quiet environment and listen to stuff music to help with focus. Tip 4: Don't hold yourself to really high standards. It's okay to not get a perfect score! It's a learning experience :) Tip 5: Don't do so much to the point you burn out. Do what you know you can tolerate and stop there. It's great to have goals but don't push yourself too far! ^^ Baby steps! Tip 6: Give yourself time to rest at some point! Tip 7: Ask for help if you need it! Tip 8: Stay organized and follow a study schedule. A planner can go a long way!; Tip 9: Eat a healthy snack when you can to help with energy! (Salad, oranges, sushi, etc). You could also reward yourself for getting things done! Tip 10: Chew gum to help relax on exams and take deep breaths. Did any of these sound helpful? What do you use to destress in a work or school environment? Hope everyone is having a nice day! I can't wait to hear from you all ^^
