...See more Hi everyone. My name is Nick, and I am from the UK. The main reason that I am here is down to depression, and a sense of self-loathing. My problems started in childhood and have been going on for a very long time. Recently, my mother was diagnosed with COPD, and cancer, and recently had a stroke, from which she has just come home from hospital. As well as caring for her, I also care for an uncle with dementia, and a mentally handicapped older brother. While this adds a lot of stress and pressure to my life, in some ways it helps me too, as right now I don't have enough time to hate myself, with everything else going on. I have been a member of 7cups for a few years, but only ever used it occasionally, but now I am hoping to use it daily, just for a few minutes, just for some "me time". I think that about covers it for now. Look forward to meeting you all soon, in the various chats, discussions and rooms on 7cups. Take care
