Group Projects Can Be So Frustrating!

...See more As a final-year MBA student, group projects are nothing new to me, but this one is really testing my patience. We were assigned a secondary research topic, and I spent a lot of time working on the research report, making sure to cover all the necessary points. However, one of my team members—who didn’t contribute much initially—decided to call my entire report “wrong.” To her credit, she has rewritten a significant portion of the report, but now she expects me and our other teammate to step in and finalize it. This is especially frustrating because I’ve already put in so much effort, and to top it off, I have a job interview tomorrow. Between preparing for the interview and dealing with this project, I feel completely drained. Sometimes it feels like no matter how much effort you put in, group dynamics can still make things unnecessarily complicated. I know this is part of the learning experience, but it can be exhausting. Just needed to get this off my chest.

...See more I suffer from chronic loneliness and deep loneliness leaves behind a deep ache that begs for some relief, some form of connection. A long-lasting emptiness has crept into my existence, ripping my soul apart. Each passing moment feels heavier as the absence of human warmth and understanding linger relentlessly. All in all, loneliness is something that cannot be satiated and makes me feel hollow, squeezing my heart tightly of all the happiness.

...See more I am posting this here instead of talking to a listener in a one-on-one chat so that I can receive more support and I can say what I want in one go. I had a conflict with my parents a few days ago about my using this website or in general interacting with people online because it is not easy to be safe online. I understand their parental concern because of invasion of privacy, identity theft etc. However, I am an introvert and I do not socialise much. So it becomes difficult for me to socialise. It is also because my mother is overprotective and does not allow me to travel much. So I cannot join any clubs or communities (There is some hope for that because I will be moving to a different place for my higher studies). This place has helped me a lot with my loneliness. I have mixed feelings about this entire situation. On one hand, I am upset and angry with my parents for imposing such restrictions but on the other hand, I feel guilty for going against them and what they want. My father even cried the last time he got to know that I use this website because they have not caught me doing something behind their back for the first time. I really do not know what to feel and what not to feel. It sucks. It just sucks. And i honestly cannot wait to move to a different place because at this point, it has become suffocating (my parents' overprotectiveness). Some insights would be helpful. Thank you for the patience!
