I carried mild annoyance over from another run-in with another listener to the point I listed rules of what the boundaries were.
She was surprisingly receptive and polite. And at the very least honest that she'd try.
By the end of 2 hours worth of typing, I think we both opened up a little more and had some laughs along the way.
She lets you talk, and I sometimes talk too much; that doesn't mean she isn't listening, it means otherwise and when the seconds of silence tick by - get ready for a paragraph response or emotionally-thought provoking questions.
