...See more Since the end of middle school/beginning of high school, I have had pretty much no hearing in my right ear. I thought I was going crazy or was acting dumb because of all the times I would ask friends to speak up or would have to repeat myself, and began to get quieter and quieter since I couldn't exactly guage how loud my voice was. My family was telling me it was nothing and that I shouldn't worry, but I eventually convinced them to take me to a doctor. I was diagnosed with sudden profound inner ear deafness, and I cannot get any sort of hearing aid due to financial issues. Although I sort of already knew, it was a relief to know I wasn't crazy or anything. But I thought I could fix it.... I feel so upset that I suddenly lost the ability to hear and don't even know why on top of the fact that it's permanent. It also makes it difficult to socialize size I can't ever hear what anyone is saying and feel bad for asking them to talk louder all the time! Does anyone have any tips for me...?
