Who am I?

A great big hello to everyone here on 7 Cups! I'm Kysen, though you might recognize me as NatureMaverick. Feel free to call me whichever you prefer. My pronouns are he/him/his. I always try my best to respect everyone, so please let me know what you would like me to call you and which pronouns I should use. I'm not entirely sure what to say about myself because my focus is on you. However, I'll do my best to cover the basics since it's important to know who you're talking to. 

A bit more about myself... As I mentioned, my name is Kysen. I am 24 years old and currently living in New York, though I'm originally from Missouri. I'm a cisgender male, and as I mentioned earlier, my pronouns are he/him/his. I'm also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, being a gay male. I graduated from college with a B.S. in sociology. I'm a huge animal lover and love both cats and dogs. I also enjoy hiking and exploring the outdoors, which is why my nickname is NatureMaverick. 

Why am I here?

I'm here because I love helping people and being there for them. I've been through some tough times myself, so I understand how important it is to have someone to listen when you need them. Honestly, I don't know if I would still be here if I didn't have people to talk to when I was at my lowest. Thankfully, I'm out of that low place now, so I definitely want to be there for others in need. I don't claim to know everything about all the issues out there, but I'm willing to listen to anything you might be going through. I'm not here to judge, I'm here to listen.
