I often feel I am not entirely understood. To what degree do I need to be understood in order to be helped?

...See more I've been on the lookout for years for someone who can help me with relationship issues with my husband. He has dyspraxia which causes a whole host of problems and basically I handle all practical issues in our life which is stressful, exhausting, burdensome... I don't fully understand where to draw the line of what i can and cannot expect from him and how to cope with what I cannot expect from him. Often have to defend him to a degree from my family as not simply being lazy, immature, selfish or disrespectful. But also very often feel that he uses his struggles as an excuse to just not help with so many of the things I end up having no choice but to handle. Can anybody point me in the right direction? These message boards are very overwhelming.
