Working With Toxicity

...See more This has gone on long enough and it’s time for a change it’s time for a better life! I just need a space to vent here because things are just getting ridiculous at work.  My coworkers are making my work environment toxic and I have been dealing with health issues. So I have left early last week because of that. Sunday I felt very ill after work but I didn’t leave early but I did take a nap after work. I don’t have my medication yet but I’m hoping to have it today. I’ve been resting on and off before I went to school yesterday.  I’m actually out of my normal routine but I’m not looking for pity on here. I’m trying to find my routine gradually it’s rough but I did expect to get sick from my usual illness.  Anyways like I was saying I’m going back to school this is my 3rd week in. I’m now getting into what days I need off. I have to drive a hour away in the evenings twice a week with only one day in between.  I work mornings so this is a BIG adjustment for me getting home when I’m usually going to bed. So my coworkers want to “take pictures” of things that aren’t getting done while I’m gone. So you can’t just do these tasks and not complain about it? Other people can’t do these tasks? The past two times I’ve been gone and come back I’ve had extra things to do. Those tasks are considered extra anyways and other people could do them but aren’t. My boss hasn’t said one thing and it’s been 10 days from those “pictures.” I’m tired of the toxicity how does it make you look better to make others look bad? Explain? If I’m asked about it I’ll just ask about the extra tasks. Like how much longer are you putting this on me? Because I can’t handle anymore. I can only handle so much it’s one thing to handle extra work like I have been. Now I’m getting coworkers who want to be right on to you. I’ll decide if I want to stay while I’m going to school or change. I’ll change right in the middle of me going to school because I just can’t take it. I’m trying to better my life and get a career. I don’t want to live like this anymore. Or keep this job.

...See more I’m already in a stressful time in my life.  I know I’m sounding pretty sensitive right now. I don’t need new reply’s and likes from threads. This is why I’m not posting and interacting anymore also. When I open the app and see it I respond.  Why oh why do I have to shut off ALL NOTIFICATIONS??? We don’t have to option to just have only receive messages from therapist. This is all I want and need right now. THANK YOU!!!

...See more Do you like your job? Do you have dreams of something else? Do you feel you make a difference? Do you want to make a difference? Are you happy just clocking in and going home and that’s it? For example I’m a housekeeper at a hospital. I work on the long term care unit. I’m around old people all day. I have dreams of becoming a medical assistant. I’m going later in the summer/fall. I feel like I’m making a difference sometimes. I will try to help with tasks I’m allowed to do. Like putting on an old ladies earrings or necklaces. Help them change the tv channel or get batteries for remotes. Those are a few things I can think of.  I’m ready for a fresh start. I want to actually feel like I’m helping out more then I do.

...See more What’s your favorite flower? I bring flowers into work sometimes from my garden. It gets sorta drab in the place so it brightens it up in the spring and summer. My favorite is roses! Especially pink roses! I don’t think plants can be really ugly lol! What’s your favorite flower? Or favorite plant? House plant you like?

...See more Tw: Drug abuse, Loss , & Cheating  Remember  Remember when I used to chased you around outside in the yard for no reason? We laughed and joked you made silly faces. You let me “catch you.” Remember when we would go on long car rides and sing to the radio? I would change the lyrics to the songs. I would sing to you. Sometimes I would tell you to join in with me. I didn’t even care where we were going at the time.  Remember when we had a fire pit outside? We had cookouts in the summer. Then the neighbor came over and played guitar?  You stayed up late and I went to bed. Then you came to bed too. Remember when you walked the dogs and met those strangers? Not only did you meet some women you didn’t know you forever changed your life. You then claimed to love both of us when caught. Remember when you tried “something new” was it worth it to? You didn’t want to stop you felt better you claimed. 3 years went by Then person I remember left then. Where did he go?  I told you I didn’t recognize you anymore but you didn’t care. I was left crying in the car this time.  So it got worse for the both of us. I finally let you go slowly. You couldn’t handle it.  You lost everything by then. I told you that you would loose me. I couldn’t handle anymore.  I found out your gone I never thought it would happen. 34 years old and gone but you were gone before then.  I miss your smile. I miss your laugh. I had to say goodbye.  But I knew it had to be.

...See more What trends make you wonder how they got popular? Or just confuse you? I work in healthcare I know the Stanley cup story but still just why? So many people have them! I don’t know if it’s mostly a hospital thing. They are difficult to clean. Then they get all scratched up. Plus so expensive! Also I’m just probably just not the right generation. I’m close to 38 here. But I don’t get Tic Tok like at all I’m sorry. I love YouTube I want a story. ALL MY OPINIONS! ALL OF THIS IS OPINIONS OF COURSE!

Leader Or Follower?

...See more Do you consider yourself a leader or a follower? I’m not a supervisor. I think I’m a little bit of both. I question leadership often and I find myself taking charge when needed. I feel almost like a reluctant leader at times. But sometimes people gravitate towards me for advice.  My parents are similar also. Sometime I just step into and it’s natural it’s fine. Others times I feel like but you can’t do this? I think this is easy to figure out. Plus I feel so bossy and I tell them this is how I would do it. I tell them but you can learn it anyway that is best for you. It’s always me and I’m not in charge.  What are your opinions on this topic?  Born leader or just want to follow the crowd? Or like me leadership comes up sometimes?
