...See more I'm in the ER right now. I'm having episodes of confusion and disorientation. I've never been though this before. I'm 40, at a pretty stable point mentally because I'm in therapy and I'm medicated. I'm doing good. It's not a stressful day. Yes I have daily stresses but who doesn't? Because he heard I'm on an anti depressant and a mood stabilizer he's already convinced it's all because of anxiety. This has been happening my whole life. I'm hearing impaired but they kept saying it's anxiety causing me to have selective hearing until I bombed a test in school and the ENT was shocked I was so long without a diagnosis. I have a chronic pain disorder, but because nothing showed up in the scans, it's anxiety. I said I can't take the pain anymore, sends me to a specialist, and oh yeah, you also have rather severe arthritis and we could have delt with it years ago but now it's too late to treat. We can only manage the pain now. Oh and multiple pinched nerves and a bulged disk. Oops. There's something wrong with my shoulder, it went into spasms and the pain was too much. My PCP said go to the ER. They looked at my medication list an it's suddenly anxiety! Despite having a documented issue with my shoulder with a recommendation of surgery. Nope it's anxiety. Now I'm in the ER. I told him I'm normal between episodes. Doesn't matter. My neurological exam of push and pull on fingers and scrunch my face was normal so it's got to be anxiety. He went piece by piece through my life looking for something stressful. I'm raising three teens. That has to be it! It's anxiety! So I'm currently sitting here in the ER sobbing because something is wrong with me and he's writing me off because I have bipolar disorder.
