The Track of the Eyelids: My Delusional Love Story

...See more I can't find a better than here on Cups to talk about this movie I work on. This movie is inspired by my mental illness and my experience with love delusion. I've been in pain for years because of my mental illness (schizophrenia) and a delusional love story I lived in my head.  I have been working on every aspect of the project. It was strange to me to start the project and enter the filmmaking field with zero experience. I changed the low-quality book I've written, including this story, to a feature film script. I reviewed the psychiatric plot with psychiatrists and psychologists besides the script reviews itself (structure and so on). I finished a business plan which was a great struggle to start one as I have never been into business before. Studying the plan was more joyful than other activities as the profit and the distribution plan. Deciding to distribute internationally and shooting in the USA while I'm located in Egypt is difficult as well, but I have the insistence to do so to reach a wider audience. Several documents I have worked on alone as film budget, business plan, script, pitch deck, as well as visuals like AI content, images, videos explaining the story, and voice acting, editing on software, generating AI images. Pitching to executive producers ad investors, asking for help and posting content all over social media, and paying for ads, it was a long journey for 18 months now :D When I showcase my work and count the achievements I have, I feel much relief and power to push forward. Right now I'm working on producing the movie with AI. It was fun! And my eyes dropped tears when I produced scenes that touched my heart. However, producing using software and editing is very tiring. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie one day on screens and hearing positive feedback :)
A new treatment approach for excessive eating

...See more Hello everyone! Eating disorders treatment (Binge eating, Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa) with Pleasures Distribution Theory was a process I worked on to lose weight caused by antipsychotics side effects. I share it with you because I found it very helpful. What is the Pleasure Distribution theory? It claims that the human has two pleasure parts: somatic (sensory) and psychological. The patient who has bulimia or binge eating relies on the taste pleasure more than the other pleasures. However, we will dive more into the psychological therapy models and the theory factors. Pleasures Distribution Therapy Model Here is how the theory’s flow goes: If the cause of the eating disorder is psychological, we have to do: -Awareness of the types of physical and psychological pleasures. -Examining psychological causes and the lack of satisfaction of other needs that overwhelm him (stress). -* Develop a work plan to distribute efforts to achieve other goals of physical and psychological pleasure (with balance). If Binge eating/Bulimia Nervosa is substance-induced (medications inducing high appetite): -Ensure that there are no organic or other problems. -Ensure treatment for other psychological causes that require psychiatric medication. -Treatment with acceptance and commitment to the following: Realization: -The brain periodically sends a message about the need for food (you must remind yourself that you have eaten what will keep you from the suffering of life and that you will not suffer from unconsciousness or suffer from a medical problem, and it is normal to feel of abdominal pain or some weakness). -The feeling of fullness from food will not be felt in general, but strive to get used to an unforgettable number of food. -Develop a plan to spread the satisfaction of pleasure centers, both physically and psychologically↓ The first step in it is for the patient to interact between his tension in the change and another pleasure alternative that leads to the same degree of pleasure. The patient needs the same period of time that he suffers from. Centers of Physical Pleasure: Sensory: -Taste -Touch -hearing (music or so) -vision (natural scenes for example) -olfactory (perfumes you like) Psychological reward centers: They are tested from Maslow's Hierarchy of needs: I hope this theory helps anyone to get a distraction from excessive eating as well as any other addiction. If you need further explanation, please comment on this post and I will reply.
Failure and success

...See more Hello everyone, I wanted to discuss a topic with you which is "failure and success". I began with failure before success because it is how the process goes usually. To succeed, we have to fail. For how long can we describe ourselves as a failure? For me, I recommend doing that for no more than 1 minute, and immediately we have to switch to the logical mind that will definitely show how we are not a failure. It will show us how we are just trying, and the trial indeed had positive results as "learning" which we always can't notice or confess. I encourage all of us to be supportive to ourselves and believe that our failure is a crucial part of success. What was the last time you described yourself as a failure? Have you overcome it with positivity? If so, how have you overcome it?

Small achievements celebration

...See more Hello everyone! As I've been through depression the previous 2 months, I claimed a helpful tip that could elevate my mood better than before. The tip is "Celebrating small achievements".  It can be getting up from sleep early, finishing homework, having a healthy meal after a long time of unhealthy eating, losing 1 kg, succeeding in a simple exam, etc. There are more examples of the small achievements we can have daily and they truly exist every day!  For me, I'm working on a project that requires marketing and reaching millions of audiences while I'm just a junior at marketing. All I have done is celebrate every 1 or 2 views, listens, plays, or likes on social media and my website visits.  How can we celebrate? It is important to choose who we can celebrate our achievements with. Having good company of people who would love to see our happiness and cheerful moments can bring more joy to our celebrations. I wanted to share this tip as it could help me get out of a bad depression cycle. Now, I encourage you all to enjoy, write down your achievements, and acknowledge them every day. I wanted to share one of my achievements which is my past 2 years of music streams which I didn't even think of celebrating. So, I wanted to celebrate them with you :)
