I'm a teenage gay genderqueer person (they/them pronouns) who doesn't seem care. But underneath the tough skin is a weird bubble of sugary sweetness, and underneath that is a dark soul that hurts. With loneliness, student life, anxiety, depression and a whole other bundle of fun challenges, I could be on here for any reason.


I used to be content
To live an easy life
Full of wonder and mystery
Until after I experienced strife

It took everything away from me
All that I'd ever had
I just want to get away from it
So I don't have to be so sad

Crying by myself
Alone late at night
It's claws digging in deep
It's made me lose my ability to write

It guides my every action
It changes every course
Everytime I go to get help
I have to use more force

It convinces me I need it
It convinces me to stay
It convinces me to hurt
Day after endless day

...See more Recently I've been getting into the habit of digging my nails into my palm whenever I'm stressed or angry or sad or trying to suppress something. For most of my life, I've been oblivious about self-harm, and mental illness. Only in the past year have I learned more about it and realized I might be struggling with something too. And I really don't want to end up turning to cutting with a knife. It's so scary to me, to think about doing that, but I also don't feel like I can trust myself with anything sharp anymore for fear of the self-harm coming out and me not being able to stop it. I have no experience with things like this, and nothing has been working to stop the new behaviors. I know the risks, and I'm scared of that happening to me, and the voice inside taking over and going too far. If anyone has any suggestions for things I could do, I would really appreciate it.
