...See more So, I knew going in that my senior year in education would be insane. I just didn't realize how insane. Mostly with reading. We're talking 4 hours of reading per class minimum per week, times 5 classes. Plus extra stuff, like I have one class that has us reading one young adult novel per week. It should be noted that I read slow. And making mini-lesson plans. Making unit plans, podcasts. While I seem organized on the surface, I have a planner (that actually works for the visual organization part) and use it all the time. But here we are, only 3 weeks in, and I feel like all I have time for is to work on my homework and go to classes. Which doesn't work for me. After about 6 hours of class and homework, mentally I am so done that I need to stop. If I work on homework after 7pm, even if I stop by 8 or 9, I can't fall asleep until midnight, which is not good when I have to get up by 6am. I do have ADHD, I am on medication, and I have figured out what I need to do to maximize coverage and still be able to sleep. It should also be noted that all of my class meetings are 3 to 4 hours long and that I have to go to my placement school to observe lessons for at least 2 hours a week, so a minimum of 3 hours a week when travel time is factored in. And I need to be able to spend time with my family and prepping for the upcoming week (food, laundry, shopping, much needed brain break) on Saturday and Sunday.
