Dear all,
I am fascinated that such a community exists and I hope that I can be useful in this setting. Currently, I am studying at a Counselling School, I have graduated the first module so this community would be a start to practice what I learned. And one of the most important things I have learned about is that the world needs more listeners, because too many people are more ready to talk, instead of listen.
My own life issues included being raised without a father and trying to overcome the gaps in my personality left by living in a mono-parental family, having some violent break ups and the feelings of abandonment, loss and lack of self esteem, and the subsequent depression, having a relative with Alzheimer and being introduced to neurological disorders, and visiting a loved one in a psychiatric hospital and so, being introduced to the world of mental illnesses.
I am now passionate about fighting against the stigma associated to mental illnesses and discovering ways to cope with them and have a normal life.
I enjoy reading, playing musical instruments and studying new things. I believe that the entire creation is fascinating and waiting to be discovered.
