Cynthia Stocker, LCSW

Clinical Social Work/Therapist

About

Welcome, thank you for being brave enough to begin this journey.  I imagine you are here because you are seeking help.  That takes bravery and courage. It takes true faith.  It also could mean that you are worried about feeling exposed and vulnerable, and that can be scary.  It means you are asking someone you don't know to take a look at your history, your life, critique it; and offer you some relief.  And, it might cause you to worry about being judged in the process.  Wow! That's alot!  I want you to know your room is a safe place.  It's place you can go to express yourself, share and get the help you want to make the decisions you need to get your life back on track.

I have been helping people for over 30 years.  As a licenced Clincial Social Worker for over 10 years, I understand how scaring reaching out can be.  I want to take that journey with you, and at your pace.  We can get to know each other, set a few goals, and develop a plan.

I am honest, direct, kind and collaborative.  I will help you understand what is happening and why, so you don't feel alone.

I have expereince with anxiety, PTSD, depression, OCD, relationship issues, communcation issues, parenting problems, work/life issues, assertive issues, ADHD, learning disablities and much more.

If you need help, don't spend one more day on that path alone.  Let's take this walk together!

Love her so much!
Cynthia is amazing. She has helped my life in innumerable ways!
Cynthia makes me feel heard and validated when I speak with her. She has provided me great resources on how to deal with what I want to work on. She makes me feel safe and comfortable to say anything without any fear of judgment.
Cynthia focuses on helping you better manage your issues. She goes further than just making you feel heard, she is invested in helping you address the problems you want to work on. She provides you with the tools needed and at times a rational voice. She nudges you to make the changes needed and helps you take charge of your life. If you are looking for a therapist who focuses on addressing your concerns even if at times you may not like the solution then she is the therapist for you. I am grateful for having met her and I value the skills she has helped me develop.
She really listens and so far has made insights that other therapists I’ve seen for far longer haven’t. I really like being able to leave a message when it’s easy for me, not at an appointment time.
