Bio

Hello, I'm Colby and I love art, music, reading, and theatre. I'm currently taking the journey of working as a freelance stage manager in the theatre world. I am currently focusing on trying to love and accept myself for who I am and coming out to others. I identify simply as queer and use they/them pronouns.

A poem I've been working on...

...See more Hey guys! I've been working on this poem, and I just wanted to share it and hope it speaks to some of you. I've never been much of a writer, but the idea for this just wouldn't seem to leave me. I hope you all enjoy! <3 That part of me that screams from within, Who is caged but seeks freedom. Lies impatiently therein, For that day to come When I, one shall be With the imprisoned And the free. A creation of pride Who doth cry out with joy. Finally, in touch with the inside No more reason to be coy. When let go of every inhibition, Then my essence will shout. But, for now, silence poisons the soul, Corrupting it from the inside out. Holding you captive till life turns cold.

...See more Hi! I'm Colby and I identify as queer and use they/them. I have been trying to come out for over a year (been closeted for longer), and I am struggling with doing it. I have so much fear and anxiety (especially living in a very conservative area). Does anyone have any good advice on how to start the conversation or any stories they would like to share? Thank you all!

...See more Today, I have finally decided to reach out. I want to find a community of people where I feel included and expand that to my daily life. I identify as queer and use they/them pronouns. I want to live my life as who I really am and not the anxious, uncomfortable person who has been hiding their whole life. Today, I take a step towards that future where I can be that person. I just want to find a group where not only am I supported, but I can have the backs of others as well. Feel free to share a little about yourself, advice, experiences, etc. Let's start a positive conversation!
