The Depression Triptychs is a series of triptychs (a piece of art comprised of three panels) I produced about 14 years ago amid a prior period of deep depression. ...See more I'm here to reengage with professional and peer-based care for my mental health. I'm a divorced, 57yo, cishet male of color with a 14yo trans child. Until recently, I had a 20+ year career as a professional creative in the ad/mktg/brand biz. I'm coming off a period of intense distress developed over the past year-and-a-half due to unemployment, depleted finances/savings, loss of car, relationship challenges, physical health issues, and, as the saying goes, "much, much more!" Some of the ongoing specifics that underlie my … dis-ease: * 8 of 10 on the ACEs scale * Clinical Depression * Anxiety Disorders (Social + GAD) * Substance Use Disorders (alcohol + other drugs, 27 years clean + sober as of 9/1/24) * High Functioning Autism (late Dx) * ADHD (the AD part, late Dx) * PTSD (late Dx) And, FWIW * MS (heat sensitivity in a warming world—my skin, the body's largest breathing organ, feels like it’s suffocating sometimes) * Eczema (annually recurring full body, including face—in addition to insatiable itching it feels like wool is inside my skin)
